How to Start the Hustle and Grind Side Quest - FFVII Rebirth¶
The Hustle and Grind Side Quest can be unlocked via the noticeboard, which is located in the Grasslands at the start of chapter 12. However, this won’t be available if you haven’t tracked down the locations of all four protorelics in the Grasslands. Throughout this quest you’ll have to deal with some Grasslands Wolves, Bandits, and Devil Riders so we recommend that you spend some time completing world Intel activities until you’re at least level 43 before tackling this quest.

Defeat The Fiends¶
Once you’ve accepted the side quest, you’ll need to deal with some fiends, so fast travel over to the Kalm Outskirts Tower and head along the bridge to the east until you come across several Grassland Wolves. These shouldn’t cause you too much of a problem as they can be taken down relatively quickly as long as you use ice based attacks against them, such as Blizzaga or Snow Flurry (Yuffie). As for attacks, you’ll want to keep an eye out for Throat Clamp as if this connects, then that character won’t be able to move for a while and their health will gradually deplete.
With the Grassland Wolves out of the way, you’ll now have to deal with two Bandits and Devil Riders. We recommend that you deal with the bandits first as they have a lot less HP (Health). You can do this by striking them with fire-based attacks, such as Firaga or Firebolt Blade (Cloud). Unfortunately, the Devil Riders aren’t so easy to deal with as they’re constantly on the move at high speeds, so you’ll want to generate Aerith’s ATB by repeatedly using the Spellbound Arts Synergy Skill (Aerith + Yuffie) and then strike them with Thundaga to pressure them.
Use this opportunity and hit them with any of the character’s focused attacks to stagger them and then use any strong weapon abilities like Infinity’s End and Limit Breaks to finish them off before they get back up. After you’ve dealt with all of the enemies, a short scene will play out and the mission will come to a close, rewarding you with Sharpshooter’s Companion Vol. VI and 5,000 EXP.
