Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

A Rare Card Lost Quest Guide

By
Shane Williams

A Rare Card Lost will be a side quest you come across in "Grasslands" iconGrasslands of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It’ll require you to track down a formidable Queen’s Blood player and beat them to obtain the Chocobo & Moogle Card. On this page, we’ll provide you with the necessary tips to finding and defeating "Virgil" iconVirgil.

The Bartender has managed to lose one of his rare cards.

Got beat badly at Queen’s Blood, but the real stinger was when I had to give up the rare card I’d staked on the match. I’m looking for a pro to win it back on my behalf. If you think you’ve got what it takes, drop by the bar.

Starting the A Rare Card Lost Side Quest

The A Rare Card Lost Side Quest can be unlocked via the noticeboard that is located in the northern portion of "Kalm" iconKalm once you’ve completed the main story quest Break in the Saddle. Once you’ve accepted the quest, head to the northeast of the area and take the stairs down to The Rusty Arrow and then speak with the Bartender. Unfortunately, he lost a card in a game of Queen’s Blood and would like someone more skilled to win it back, but he would like to play against you first to see if you’re up to the task.

Defeat Virgil

(1 of 2) Work your way into the centre of the board.

"Vash" iconVash won’t be much of a challenge as he’s a beginner in the world of QB, but having a strategy will make things even easier. To win, you’ll need to obtain more points than them on each line and the best way to do this is to try to take up as much space on the board as quickly as possible. At the start of the match, beeline to the center of the board and then use the Security Officer card to capture any tiles the opponent has. Once the battle has concluded, head to the Clock Tower to finally challenge Virgil. We recommend using the same strategy as the previous battle to win, then you’ll learn the card is safely in the hands of Thorin.

Track Down Thorin

Head to Thorin’s Card Shop which is located at the northernmost point of the Grasslands Region and beat him at another game of Queen’s Blood, then you’ll be rewarded with the Chocobo & Moogle Card. Return to the Bartender in The Rusty Arrow to deliver the card and the quest will come to a close, earning you 3,500 XP and a "Potion" iconPotion for your hard work.
