Necessary Evil is the eight Main Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. It’ll require you to torture a captive to learn more about what happened to Lord von Bergow. Read on to find out where you need to go, and what you get for completing the quest.
Henry and Hans Capon are after some answers.

Interrogate The Prisoner in the Torture Chamber with Capon¶
Head out into the next room and speak with Hans Capon about the current situation and then make your way over to the torture chamber which can be found by going up the stairs just before you reach Kabat. Your objective here is to get some answers out of the captive and you can do so by selecting the following options:

- Otherwise it’ll end badly for you.
Once you’ve got all the answers you’re looking for, head outside and you’ll lose a bit of reputation (which is to be expected) and then you’ll want to choose “Let’s keep quiet about Semine”. Return to Lord Von Bergow and bring him up to speed, then speak to Hans and choose “I’ll wait with you” and then follow the men on horseback to Semines Estate.
Ride with the Soldiers and Capon to Semine¶
When you arrive, Burgrave Hashek of Kozle will have a lot to see and you’ll have opportunities to step in to try and deescalate the situation, but a fight will breakout regardless and you’ll be forced to side with either Semine (Nothing is going to burn!) or Von Bergo (I’m on your side). We recommend sticking with Von Bergo and then you’ll need to take out Semine’s Men which can easily be done by teaming up on one person as they’ll go down quicker.

Search the Tower and Find Olda¶
As you may have noticed Olda has been nowhere to be seen during all of this so its time to find him. Head into the tower and make your way up to the top floor to find him hiding in the corner, then after some chatter you’ll want to choose “You’ll be tried”. Now, you’ll return to Trosky and meet with Lord Von Bergow in the morning and then the quest will come to a close.
