Starting The High Toll Task¶
Head to the Iron Eagle Tavern which is located on the eastern side of Kuttenberg, then speak to Innkeeper Franz Geldstuck to learn that he is having difficulties with soldiers stopping the merchants on their travels. We recommend stocking up on some Savior Schnapps and purchasing some quieter equipment as you may need to take a stealth approach if you fail to pass the speech checks.
Find the Soldiers Camp¶
The Soldiers Camp can be found between Kuttenberg and
Grund, but it can be easily reached by fast traveling to
Old Kutna and walking north to find a blockade. Quickly create a new save and then approach the Royal Customs Official and choose the following dialogue choices to obtain the writ if you levels are high enough - “I want to talk”, “Watch your tongue!”, “I want to read it”, “Where did you get that writ?” and “Get out of here!”

If you are unable to pass the speech checks then we recommend passing the time until its the middle of the night and then sneaking into the camp and approaching the Royal Customs Official who should be sleeping and pickpocketing the writ which can be found on the top right of the circle.
High Toll Task Rewards¶
With the Soldiers on the way and the writ in your possession, head back to the Iron Eagle Tavern and give it to Geldstuck to bring the quest to a close and you’ll be rewarded with 100 Groschen.
