Quests and Tasks come in all shapes and sizes in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and while some can be just as large as a main quest, equally, there are many that won’t take you long to complete at all. Still, if you want that completionist Achievement, you’re going to need to do most of them and some are easily missable. That’s the case for the Like Old Times Task, which is only available for a very short period, so keep reading to learn how to find it.

Starting the Like Old Times Task¶
To be able to access the Kuttenberg region, you’ll have to wait until you’ve progressed the main story a fair amount, indeed, it’s not until you complete the Storm quest that you’ll reach
Kuttenberg for the first time, and then you’ll be locked into the introductory main quests of this region before you can jump on your horse and explore this massive region.
At that point, you need to continue with the main quests until you complete Exodus, at which point Henry will decide to head back to Devil’s Den and discuss next steps with Zizka. If you’ve not already done The Devil’s Pack, you must complete it before the next scene in this main quest, at which point, everyone will be given their tasks.
At this point, Hans Capon wishes to speak with Henry, and doing so will begin the Like Old Times Task. This is the only time this Task is available, you must do this now before proceeding any further with The Lion’s Den or you will miss the quest forever, potentially locking you out of the Been There, Done That Achievement/Trophy. Once you speak to Hans, reply with the following responses:
- “Thank you, it was rough.”
- “It reminded me of Skalitz.”
- “No need to thank me.”
- “History?” (Medium Speech) or “Duty calls.”
- “A just reward!”
- “That’s a good idea.”
- “Let’s go!”
Go to the Camp with Capon¶
Once the Task begins, follow Hans out of the tavern and call your horse so that you can follow him to the camp he marked out. You can simply look at Hans while riding and choose to follow him automatically, that way you can enjoy the ride and reply to any of his questions. This also let’s you write the events from the hunt in the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance, although it has no bearing on anything.
Eventually, you’ll get the option to speed up, do so to fast travel to the camp’s location. Once you arrive, get off your horse and follow him into the woods, where the two of you will happen upon a Sigismund unit.
(1 of 2) Follow Hans and reply to his responses however you wish.
Follow Hans and reply to his responses however you wish. (left), You then need to decide how to deal with Sigismund’s soldiers. (right)
Talk to Capon¶
At this point, you decide how you’re going to deal with the situation, there are three possible paths you can take here. The first, and arguably the most easiest (provided you have the required skill levels) is the route with no violence, scaring them off with the power of words. If you’re not confident in your ability to do that, you’re going to have to kill them.
That leaves you with either charging at them (the hardest route) or handling it with just Henry and using Stealth to pick them off one-by-one. If you opt for Stealth and you get seen, the objective will change to the same as that of the charge at them, so there’s no danger of failing the quest. Finally, if you decide you just want to leave, you’ll do nothing but will fail the Task, so avoid this option at all costs.
Should you take them on, you’ll have to deal with five soldiers with decent equipment, so make use of Mutt to distract them, use Battle Cries and try to prevent yourself from getting surrounded, backing up to make space if needed.
Talking to the soldiers is the easiest way to bring this Task to an end.
Let’s Talk to Them¶
As mentioned above, this is by far the easiest way to get them to stand down so pick the following choices for this route:
- “Your worst nightmare” (Medium, we passed at Level 22)
- “Fuck Sigismund.” (Hard, we passed at Level 22)
- “Get lost!”
Once you successfully get the soldiers to leave or kill them, speak to Hans one more time who has lost his appetite for a hunt now and decides to head back to Devil’s Den, choose to go with him to bring this short Task to an end.
