When Can You Respec?

The first thing you need to do to Respec is progress through the story until you reach the Kuttenberg region, which can take up to 20 hours depending on if you’re doing all the side quests and tasks along the way. You will head to Kuttenberg after the main story mission “Storm”.

What Do You Need to Respec?

Upon reaching the Kuttenberg region, you’ll need to get your hand on the Lethean Water Alchemy Recipe. There are two ways to do this, the first is to purchase it from an Apothecary in Kuttenberg, or you can get it for free if you complete The Thunderstone sidequest in Grund, situated to the east of Suchdol, the first village you’ll arrive at when you enter the region for the first time.

How to Get Lethean Water

As mentioned above, you’ll need to head to either Grund or Kuttenberg depending on which way you want to obtain it. The easy and expensive way is to head to Kuttenberg and either purchase the potion outright or purchase the recipe and create your own. The cheaper but more time consuming method involves you going to Grund, speak to the Innkeeper who will alert you of Kona, who can be found opposite of the Inn, and complete the sidequest she gives you called “The Thunderstone”.

Firstly, we’ll start with the easy method, which is to head to Kuttenberg. If you progress the story a little bit, you’ll have an objective to meet Katherine there. However, you can go there whenever you want, simply stay on the road heading east out of Suchdol, and you’ll eventually reach the city. Upon reaching Kuttenberg, stay in the center while heading east, and you’ll find the Apothecary to your right (south). Speak to the Trader inside, and purchase the Lethean Water for 72 Groshen and the recipe for 170 Groshen.

(1 of 3) Head into the center of Kuttenberg to find the Apothecary.

The second method involves you going to the small settlement of Grund, situated northeast of Suchdol, north of Kuttenberg. This is a long journey, so we recommend using your horse to reach it. When you reach Grund, head over to the Tavern in the center of the village, and speak to the Innkeeper there, asking what’s new. This will give you a new quest marker nearby, which will lead to Kona and The Thunderstone side quest. Complete the quest by handing the stone to Kona (not the original owner of the stone), and you’ll receive the Lethean Water recipe as a reward as well as a discount at the nearby stables.

(1 of 2) You can start The Thunderstone quest in Grund by speaking to Kona. The Innkeeper at the Tavern will let you know about her.

How to Use Lethean Water

Go into your inventory and simply take a sip of the miraculous potion, and you’ll receive all the Perk Points you’ve spent up until this point. This won’t reset your skill levels, all it will do is give you your Perk Points back.

After using the Lethean Water Potion, all your Perk Points will be refunded.

That’s it for Respecing in Kingdom Come Deliverance II, we recommend completing doing The Thunderstone method as not only will you get the recipe for free, but you’ll also get a significant discount for the Stables in Grund, should you need another horse.
