Earning money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t terribly difficult, if you know what you’re doing, but this isn’t a game where you’ll be accumulating millions of gold. Most monetary gains are two digit affairs, so the idea of spending 10,000 groschen for the achievement Groschen Must Flow might seem daunting. This guide, however, will show you how to burn through 10,000 groschen without harming your finances while also leveling your Craftsmanship skill!

The 10,000 Groschen Grind Preparations¶
You need money to make money, an adage that is unfortunately true in reality and in video games. Once you’re off the pillory in Troskowitz you’ll have precious few silver coins to your name, and whatever trickery we have up our sleeves, you won’t be spending 10,000 groschen without some pocket change in reserve. All this to say, you need to build up your finances before you can burn any money, and in the early game the best way to do this is arguably via alchemy. Checkt out the Starter Tips page for more information, but essentially you’ll want a few hundred groschen in your pocket, a bed, access to a stew pot and some good starter armor before you can really grind this out.
Alchemy - brewing and selling potions, specifically - can buy you all this, but you can also pick fights with bandits and lure them to guards or other travelers, then pick over the remains. When you have something metal in most of your armor slots, head to the Nomad
Camp along the southern edge of
Rocktower Pond and complete Combat Training I and Combat Training II to learn the Masterstrike skill from Tomcat. This will make you much, much deadlier with a sword once you get the hang of it.
Once you’re capable of fighting on your own and don’t need to worry about providing for your own creature comforts (buy a room at the Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn for 120~ groschen - it makes everything so much easier) you need to turn your attention to your Craftsmanship skill. You want this to be Lv10 so you can buy the “
Keen Eye” skill. This isn’t strictly necessary for this trophy, but it’s a great way to multitask and comes highly recommended - you can get starter levels in this skill by repairing gear via kits, which you can buy from various merchants.

Now that you have a bed, access to a stew pot, armor and a few hundred groschen to burn, it’s time for the grind. You need to wander the roads about Trosky and kill bandits, then pick up their arms and armor - anything worth over 100 groschen is a good grab. You should also keep an eye out for better armor and equip anything that’s superior to what you’ve already got, and once you have a bit more cash (and the stats to wield it) consider buying a basilard or other bladed weapon to make combat even easier. Roaming between Tachov, Troskowitz and the Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn is a fine place to start, but doing laps around Rocktower
Pond can also put you at odds with bandits, once you’re brave enough to risk adventures that lengthy.
By now you’ve spent, at most, a few hundred groschen on renting a room at the Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn, some crafting kits, and perhaps the odd weapon upgrade. Not a lot, in the grand scheme of things. To fix that, take the arms and armor you plundered off bandits and pay a blacksmith to repair them (there’s one at Tachov and another at Castle Trosky) and you’ll burn through groschen at an alarming rate - a few hundred groschen (or up to 1,500+ groschen, depending on how much loot you haul in and its condition!). This isn’t a loss, however, as the groschen you spend repairing this gear will also improve its resale value - sell the gear to the blacksmith and recoup your repair costs as well as the 300-400 groschen the merchant has, then wait a day or two until the merchant has funds again. Repeat until this trophy pops.

Needless to say, this takes a bit of work, but with the “Keen Eye” perk you’ll gain massive Craftsmanship EXP by paying to repair your gear, and the process will net you a profit. Not only that, but you’ll improve your Warfare skill and other skills depending on what weapons you use. Raid the “Enemy Camp” along the western edge of Rocktower Pond and you can loot the nearby cave to get a Weighted Dice, which will also help you win dice games (this will respawn every couple of days, so you can get a full playset if you’re persistent!). If you take the time out to go rescue Mutt, you’ll make combat even easier, and can level Houndmaster by siccing
Mutt on your enemies. All in all, it’s a pretty virtuous cycle that’ll see Henry richer, more capable, better armed and with a sweet set of loaded dice at the end.
Oh, and you’ll unlock the “Groschen Must Flow” achievement after repairing enough gear. Just a win all around!
