Starting the Skeleton in the Closet Task

To be able to access the "Kuttenberg region" iconKuttenberg region, you’ll have to wait until you’ve progressed the main story a fair amount, indeed, it’s not until you complete the Storm quest that you’ll reach "Kuttenberg" iconKuttenberg for the first time, and then you’ll be locked into the introductory main quests of this region before you can jump on your horse and explore this massive region.

Additionally, you will have to complete the Bellatores quest and wait around three-five in-game days before the brothers are ready to continue their quest to locate their missing chest. If you’ve forgotten where you left off with them, return to the "Ruins of Zimburg" iconRuins of Zimburg, which is located in the forests to the south of "Bylany" iconBylany. Make sure you’re ready for combat, because as soon as you say you’re ready, you’ll automatically travel with the brothers to where the camp is located.

(1 of 2) You’ll need to return to the Ruins of Zimburg three-five days after completing the Bellatores quest.

Get Rid of the Cumans

The task, then, is a simple one in practice, you’re just outside the Cuman camp and your goal is to, well, slaughter them and search their camp for the missing chest. As always with the Jan, he’ll want to charge in straight away, but this is a rather poor strategy, there are more Cumans then there are you, and you’ll be quickly overwhelmed. Instead, convince Jan to once again let you handle it on your own and then don your quietest ensemble.

The time of the day can make matters easier here, shift it to night and you’ll find a few of the "Cumans" iconCumans asleep, making for easy kills. The truth of the matter is, though, that this camp is much easier to deal with than the large group you took care of at the Ruins of Zimburg. The best way is to head around the edges of the camp (the two sat in the middle will never move, so leave them for last) and use Rocks to lure each of the Cumans out to inspect. This opens them up for a quick Stealth Kill and you can then drop their bodies out of sight.

The largest issue you’ll have is dealing with the group in the middle, two of which are sat down. These won’t move during the day, so your best bet is to leave them to the end and then either have Mutt attack one while you kill the other, or just charge in to trigger Jan and Tugbone’s appearance, this will have you outnumber the remaining Cumans and allow you to put them to the sword.

(1 of 4) Some Cumans will naturally walk away from the camp, making them easy to kill.

Find the Stolen Chest

With the area clear of any threats, you now need to see if you can find the stolen chest that the brothers have been searching for. Enter the large tent here to find a chest with a Medium difficulty lock in the corner, get it open and inside you’ll find the "Zimburg reliquary" iconZimburg reliquary, the stolen chest you’ve been after all this time.

Return to Jan Posy and hand it over, he’ll thank you for finding it and finally reveal the story behind what they’ve been tracking down. As thanks for helping him once again, you’ll obtain 150 "Groschen" iconGroschen and continue to act as a Master level (5000 Groschen) Trainer, so remember his location if you’re ever in need of his services.
