While poking about in Apollonia during the quest The Jaunt, you may come into possession of Hired Hand Ventza’s Map. While seeking out this treasure, you may notice something carved into a cave wall - nothing less than another treasure map! This page will guide you to the “Hidden Treasure” indicated by the Apollonia Cave Wall Map in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

How to find the Apollonia Cave Wall Map¶

As mentioned above, you can find this map while looking for another. Get Hired Hand Ventza’s Map off its namesake during or after the quest The Jaunt, then head to the “Tunnel in the Cliffs” point of interesting along the southern edge of the crags in the middle of Apollonia’s forest. In a cave overlooking the road to the east you’ll find a skeleton pierced by several crossbow bolts, and carved into the wall above the skeleton you’ll find this map.

Find the Hidden Treasure North of Trosky Castle¶

For obvious reasons, you can’t take this map with you like the others, so you won’t be able to refer to it again for future reference without backtracking, but Castle Trosky should be easily recognizable. Above (north of) the castle is… an odd symbol, but it indicates a path leading between two rocks, with a collapsed tree atop said rocks. This isn’t the easiest landmark to find, even if you know to look for it, but you’re really looking for the “Hidden Treasure” point of interest, and we recommend you look at the map provided to locate it.

Make your way into the forest north of Castle Trosky - the point of interest you seek, the “Hidden Treasure” is northeast of “Herbalist Barnaby”, east, northeast of an “Enemy Camp”. You’re looking for the easternmost rocks on the map before you hit a road - if you can find a path, keep going north and you should find the two rocks with a fallen tree lying across them. Continue between these rocks and under this tree and turn left when you get the chance to find a chest (medium).

Inside the chest you’ll find a Composite Kettle Hat, a Mail Coif, a Gambeson Short, a Saxon Hauberk, Couters, Leather Gloves, a Strong Buck’s Blood, 2x Strong Embrocation and 49.8 Groschen. Pretty decent starter gear, all things considered, and if your appetite for plunder isn’t sated yet, pillage a sack to the west to find 5x Armourer’s Kit and 2x Blacksmith’s Kit.
