As dangerous as the roads are for humans thanks to the infestation of bandits in the region, it’s arguably more dangerous to be a sheep in Trosky. Between wolves and poachers of various backgrounds and descriptions, there’s hardly a single shepard around that doesn’t need Henry’s help! Herdsboy Natan is no exception, and Henry can once again offer his assistance during the task Hunting the Werewolf in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2!
Page Breakdown¶
Starting Hunting the Werewolf¶
Hunting the Werewolf is one of the tasks in the glorious “looking for (usually dead) sheep” questine; to unlock it, complete the task Sheep Among Wolves and after you’ve resolved that quest you’ll be told about several other shepherds who need Henry’s help. To get this task started properly, find Herdsboy Natan somewhere in the fields north of
Semine - he’s got a few haunts, depending on the time of day, but the quest marker should guide you to him. Talk to him and you’ll find that he, too, has some sheep missing… all save for their ear. You know, the branded bit that poachers and thieves would probably want to remove to avoid detection? So obviously Natan suspects it’s a werewolf, a foe against which Henry is ill-equipped.
Talk to Herdsboy Natan to start this quest and learn about the werewolf (possibly) that’s hunting Semine’s sheep.
Track the Werewolf¶
Be brave, however, and after you’re done getting what details you can from Nathan, head north to reach a road and follow it northwest to reach a fork. North of this fork is the “Wandering Drunk” map marker, featuring a belligerent beggar squatting at a dilapidated cabin. A good landmark, but you’re looking for a tree near the fork in the road, where you can investigate a Bloodied Broken Arrow sticking out of said tree. Werewolves aren’t well known for their proficient archery, so we can stop scheming to melt our groschen down in order to fabricate aw weapon capable of injuring such a foe - besides, Natan seems oddly convinced he and some fellas can take care of any lycanthrope that happens to be stalking their sheep.
If you have Mutt, have him track the Bloodied Broken Arrow and your faithful hound will lead you into the wood to the northwest. If you don’t have Mutt, you’ll have to follow patches of blood that’ll lead you to the same location as Mutt does. Or you can just follow the northernmost fork norwest into the wood. Either way, you’re looking for a “
Camp” north of the aforementioned trail, hidden in some rocks just off the road.

Deal With the Bandits¶
This camp is occupied by a trio of bandits - vagabonds, if you want to get technical about it, and you’ve got a few ways of dealing with these nuisances. First option: don’t deal with them - all you have to do to complete this quest is sneak into their camp and examine the butchered sheep carcass on a rock north of the campfire. This nets you a worse reward, but it does complete the quest (note that if you want to sneak in, make sure you tell Mutt to stay somewhere away from the camp - he will draw their attention, otherwise). Second, you can try to talk to one of them and convince them to leave via one of two Speech checks. Third, you can kill them all. They patrol around, so if you want to stealth kill them, you shouldn’t find it all that difficult, but they’re also not heavily armored, so a direct confrontation probably won’t be that difficult.
(1 of 4) Technically all you need to do is find a butchered sheep in the bandit camp,
Examine the sheep before or after you deal with the bandits, then tell Natan what you found. If you didn’t kill the bandits you’ll get 6 groschen, Beer, a Weak
Chamomile Brew, a
Bandage, an
Apple and 2x
Carrots. Meanwhile if you killed the bandits Natan will give you 25 groschen,
Schnapps,
Weak Saviour Schnapps, 3x Bandages,
Bread and 2x Cooked
Onions and an Even Die. Either way, the quest will be completed in a satisfactory manner.
