Henry continues to play mercenary for hire in the Bandit Leader quests given to you by Gules in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. This time around, you’ll need to find the whereabouts of a Bandit named Handsome Charlie, and bring proof of his demise to Gules at Semine. Keep reading to learn where to find him and how to take him out.

Handsome Charlie is the second bandit leader that Gules wants you to kill in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

Starting the Handsome Charlie Side Quest

Just like the previous quest in this chain, Canker, you’ll have to go and visit Gules who can be found standing guard in Semine. If the quest is not available yet, you may have to wait, usually Gules will have the next quest available after one-two days, so pass the time however you wish and return. Additionally, you must have spared Gules during The Jaunt, a side quest that is part of the Blacksmith’s route into the wedding.

Gules needs you to take care of Handsome Charlie next, who he’ll tell you can be found with the charcoal burners in the woods near Kerchak Pond, and that he’s tricked some of those same workers in joining his merry band. As an additional objective, Gules asks if you can take care of Handsome Charlie while sparing the rest of the workers.

(1 of 2) Speak to Gules at the Semine estate to get the next bandit quest underway.

Kill Handsome Charlie

Unlike the previous Bandit, Canker, you won’t need to work out the location of Handsome Charlie, as Gules has provided you a direct location. The easiest way to get to him is by fast traveling to Vidlak Pond, located to the northwest of the Trosky region. From here, make your way to the west (and south a little) and you’ll find the charcoal pits that Gules mentioned, at this point, it’s a good idea to make a save.

If you want to honor Gules’ wishes and only kill Handsome Charlie, you’ll have to make sure you work your way through the camp until you find Charlie and then initiate a conversation with him (or Stealth Kill him, if that’s more your style). At this point, you’ll have to succeed in some skill checks, so you’ll need to have worked on your Speech stat a little. Answer with “You don’t want to look like a coward.” and you’ll rile him up enough to challenge you alone.

(1 of 3) Choose the top option to have Charlie challenge you alone.

Fortunately, Handsome Charlie is just all talk, and you’ll be able to quickly deal with him with little resistance. If you have Mutt already, have him attack Charlie too and then a few strikes will put him down. Before leaving, make sure you loot him and take Handsome Charlie’s hat, as you will need to show it to Gules as proof.

Make your return to Gules and show him the hat, and just like with Canker’s souvenir, you can request to keep Handsome Charlie’s hat as a reward. There is no monetary reward this time however, only promise of another name when you return in a few days time.
