Speak of the Devil is the second Main Quest that takes place within the Kuttenberg Region in Kingdom Come Deliverance II. Go to the Devil’s Den with Zizka¶

The next step on your adventure is Devil’s Den to meet a gentleman named Dry Devil so follow Zizka on horseback and accept the fast travel offer when promoted. Upon arrival, take out the men giving Kubyenka some grief and then question him on the whereabouts of Dry Devil and then you’ll discover he’s currently locked up and due to be transported which provides you with the perfect opportunity to free him.

Follow Kubyenka to the Weapons¶

If you want to successfully rescue Dry Devil then you’ll need to get your hands on some weaponry so follow Kubyenka until you reach some woods and then follow him to a campsite and grab the shovel that’s leaning up against a tent. You’ll now want to follow him around and dig up the various holes he points out until you eventually come across the one with the guns and this will take a few attempts because he was most likely drunk when they buried them.

Rescue the Dry Devil!¶

Once you’ve got the weapons in your possession, jump back onto your horse and make your way over to the ambush spot which can be found by heading east or by following Kubyenka and then speak with Zizka and wait some time until the Dry Devil’s escort arrives. You’ll face a dialogue choice, but you’ll most likely fail the majority of the checks so we recommend selecting the top option “I will shoot, but in your belly” as this will give you less enemies to battle against.

The best way to tackle this encounter is by attacking the same enemy as your ally as they will go down faster, but if you find yourself one on one then you’ll want to wait for them to strike you first, parry and counter. Use this opportunity to loot all of the corpses for better equipment and then return to the Devil’s Den and you’ll learn more about the current situation before the quest will come to a close. Into the Underworld and The Devil’s Pack Main Quests will become available and you can safely choose which one you like the sound of more, but we recommend doing The Devil’s Pack first as it’s the shortest of the two.
