Out of The Inn Walkthrough - Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

By
Jessica Dillon

There are many different types of side quests throughout Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. Many of these helps to expand the lore of Hyrule’s lore to make the game feel like a livelier place. "Out of The Inn" iconOut of The Inn is one such quest that can be found in West Necluda’s Kakariko Village. Link is tasked with hunting down a missing !Inn owner and waking him up. The guide below goes over where to find the !Inn owner, Ollie, and how to wake him up using a "Hearty Truffle" iconHearty Truffle in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

Speak with Dai to start Out of The Inn.

Where to Find The Inn Owner in Kakariko Village

Once you reach !Kakariko Village, you can head to the local Inn to accept the side quest, Out of The !Inn. When you get there, speak with the man behind the counter, Dai. He will inform you that he doesn’t work at the !Inn, and the owner has gone missing after going to one of the four Ring Ruin Camps around the village. Until you find Ollie, you won’t be able to stay at the !Kakariko Village !Inn. You will need to do a little bit of climbing, but you will find the !Inn Owner, Ollie, at the Ring Ruin camp behind Paya’s Hall. Climb up to the location, and you will see him asleep on a slab. Be careful when traveling up to the camp as going the wrong way will cause you to enter the restricted zone. It may be easiest to go to the camp from the "Makasura Shrine" iconMakasura Shrine.

(1 of 4) Speak with Dai in the Kakariko Village Inn.

When you try to interact with Ollie, he won’t wake up but will mumble in his sleep about a Hearty Truffle. Speak with the nearby worker to be directed to the location of a Hearty Truffle in Kakariko village. This will involve some more climbing, but you can make things a bit easier on yourself if you have the Zora armor as it allows you to climb waterfalls, giving you a shortcut to the item. If you already have a Hearty Truffle in your inventory then you can skip this step.

Where to Find The Hearty Truffle in Kakariko Village

Once you’re ready to grab the Hearty Truffle, glide to the other side of the village. You will want to go to the top of the waterfall on the east side of the village. Once you do, you will see a small hole with mushrooms growing inside of it. Crouch by pushing in the left joystick Joy-Con-Stick-L. Once you’re inside of the "Kakariko Village Cave" iconKakariko Village Cave, follow the short path forward until you reach the end.

(1 of 5) Go to the waterfall and enter the Kakariko Village Cave.

In the room with the obvious "Ascend" iconAscend spot, look around the ground and you will see the Hearty Truffle. Pick it up and return to the camp on the other side of town where Ollie is sleeping. You will need to go into your inventory and choose to hold the Hearty Truffle. Once this is done, drop it on the ground near Ollie and he will wake up and return to the !Inn. Grab the Hearty Truffle off the ground and glide back down to the !Inn. Inside you will find both Dai and Ollie, speak with one of them to earn a "Sticky Elixir" iconSticky Elixir and finish the quest. You will also now be able to stay at the !Inn whenever you wish.
