How to Complete A Call From The Depths

Once you’ve landed onto The Hyrule Surface after completing the tutorial up on the Great Sky Island you’ll be able to find lots of Side Quests and Adventures. This page will navigate you through the necessary steps to finding and completing the A Call From The Depths Side Adventure

Head to this location on the map and smash the rocks to start the quest.

A statue at the castle gates on the Great Plateau guided you to the "Temple of Time" iconTemple of Time Ruins. There, a mysterious voice gave you instructions, but who is it? It told you to throw four eyes into four chasms and carry them to the place beneath the temple where the voice is coming from.

A Call From The Depths Objectives

  1. Speak with the Goddess Statue
  2. Find the Great Plateau East Chasm Eye
  3. Find the Great Plateau West Chasm Eye
  4. Find the Great Plateau North Chasm Eye
  5. Find the Great Plateau South Chasm Chasm Eye

Where to Start The A Call From The Depths Side Adventure

In order to start this Side Adventure you’ll want to fast travel to the "Kamizun Shrine" iconKamizun Shrine and walk west until you reach the Gatepost Town Ruins, then you’ll see a doorway leading to the ruins which is blocked by multiple rocks. Here you’ll want to fuse a weapon with a nearby stone, then strike the wall and break it open. Head up the hill and interact with the stone, then you’ll be given a message to meet someone in the Temple of Time Ruins. Continue following the path up ahead whilst avoiding the "Black Bokoblin" iconBlack Bokoblin until you reach the Temple of Time Ruins, then go into the first room and open the chest for the "Royal Shield" iconRoyal Shield.

Exit the room and head up the next set of stairs, then walk to the end of the hall and interact with the statue. Here you’ll find out that the "Goddess Statue" iconGoddess Statue has had her four eyes stolen and she requests that you go and find them. You’ll then need to drop them into the Chasm and you’ll need to bring it to the Great Abandoned Mine. Below you’ll find out where to find out where to find each eye.

How to Get The Great Plateau East Chasm Eye

Once you’ve finished speaking with the Goddess Statue you’ll want to glide down to the Eastern Abby which is located to the east, then as you approach the chasm you’ll notice a wall of rocks. Smash them with a hammer-type weapon to reveal one of the eyes, then pick it up and throw it into the pit. Drop down with it and throw multiple "Giant Brightbloom Seed" iconGiant Brightbloom Seeds to light up the area

Pick up the eye and take it over to the nearby track, then place it into a cart. Now you’ll want to grab one Fan and attach it to the back. Hop into the cart and strike it with your weapon and wait for it to take you to the Great Abandoned Central Mine. Next up, you’ll want to pick up the eye and head down the stairs, then attach it to one of the empty slots.

How to Get The Great Plateau West Chasm Eye

You’ll now want to fast travel to the "Riogok Shrine" iconRiogok Shrine, then you’ll want to travel south until you reach the "Great Plateau West Chasm" iconGreat Plateau West Chasm. Here you’ll see ice scattered around the chasm, so you’ll want to throw "Red Chuchu Jelly" iconRed Chuchu Jelly or "Fire Fruit" iconFire Fruit at it until the Eye is revealed, then pick it up and throw it down into the depths. Jump down after it and pick it up again, then walk onto the nearby elevator and ride it up.

From here, head up the stairs and use "Ultrahand" iconUltrahand and place the cart onto the track, then place the eye into the cart. Jump into the cart and attack the fan and wait until you reach a dead end. Now you’ll want to pick the cart and place it onto the next track and continue your journey into the Great Abandoned Central Mine. When you arrive, pick up the eye and take the nearby elevator up, then attach the eye to one of the empty spots.

How to Get The Great Plateau North Chasm Eye

You’ll want to return to the Kamizun Shrine and head west to the Great Plateau North Chasm, then activate the Ultrahand Ability and you’ll see the eye sitting inside the water. Pick it up and drop it down into the pit and jump down. Activate the Nogukoyk Lightroot to light up a nearby area, then you’ll want to use the nearby materials to build an ATV.

Once you’ve finished creating your transport, place the eye onto it, then ride along to the Great Abandoned Central Mine which is located to the south. When you arrive, pick up the eye and walk around to the left of the building and drop down to the tracks, then head down the stairs and place the eye into one of the two remaining slots.

How to Get The Great Plateau South Chasm Chasm Eye

You’ll now want to fast travel to the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower, then glide down to the west until you reach the "Great Plateau South Chasm" iconGreat Plateau South Chasm. Here you’ll want to use "Recall" iconRecall on the rock to reveal the final eye, then drop it down into the pit and follow it. Pick it up and head up the stairs, then use all the nearby equipment to build a !Wing Glider.

Place it on the rail and fly north until you reach the Great Abandoned Central Mine. When you arrive, pick up the eye and drop down to the tracks below, then head down the hill and place it into the final slot. Here you’ll be offered a reward of either a "Heart Container" iconHeart Container or "Stamina Vessel" iconStamina Vessel and the Side Adventure will come to a close.
