The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Piaffe, Packed Away Walkthrough - Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You will encounter plenty of people in need of your help in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Some of these people will give you side quests, with there being a lot of them as you explore the game’s world. One such side quest is Piaffe, Packed Away, which will be found at the !Gerudo Canyon Stable, in the Gerudo Region. This page will detail where to start that side quest, as well as what you need to do to complete it.

Piaffe is found at the Gerudo Canyon Stable, surrounded by boxes.

Where to Start Piaffe, Packed Away in Tears of the Kingdom

"Piaffe" iconPiaffe, the person who gives you this side quest, can be found at the Gerudo Canyon Stable, in the Gerudo region. If you’ve never been there, you will find a road that leads straight to the Gerudo Desert. In fact, there is only one actual road that goes into the desert. If you find this road, then you will find the stable. Piaffe will be inside the stable, so speak to him to start the quest.

How to Complete Piaffe, Packed Away in Tears of the Kingdom

Piaffe will mention that the extreme weather has caused it so not many people are coming by the stable anymore, meaning he is going to shut it down. As you can see, there are a lot of boxes inside the stable and Piaffe is having trouble sorting through it all. Thankfully, this is a very simple side quest that doesn’t really require much of you at all. As you might have guessed, you have to destroy all of the crates in the game, which is something that is right up Link’s alley (although it isn’t pots).

(1 of 2) Burning the crate isn’t a bad idea either

Burning the crate isn’t a bad idea either (left), as you can cook the Apples that Piaffe seems to be hoarding. (right)

You can use any weapon in your inventory for this, although stronger blades or a hammer-type weapon is best. If you have anything that can cause a fire, like a Ruby-studded weapon, then that might work better, since the fire can spread to nearby crates and destroy them, making your life (and weapon durability) a little easier. There seem to be a lot of "Apple" iconApples and "Acorn" iconAcorns in the crates, too, so fire will bake them and give you a small amount of food to use for other activities.

However you do it, once you’ve destroyed all of the crates, speak with Piaffe once more to finish the quest. You will receive one Pony Point for your minor inconvenience, although Link is probably just happy to be able to break stuff. Completing this side quest will also open up A Picture for the Closed Stable I and A Picture for the Closed Stable II, which you can start by inspecting the two empty picture frames in the back of the stable.
