If you are looking to test out some new weapons, then there are plenty of combat quests to try out around Hyrule. The Gathering Pirates is one such quest that you can find in Akkala. This quest sends you to clear out three pirate ships that have gathered on the coast nearest East Akkala Stable. The guide below goes over where to find the pirate ships and how to easily clear out the enemies living there.
Where to Find The Pirates in Akkala¶
To start The Gathering Pirates, head to the East Akkala Stable. It’s located north of Tarry Town and should be easy to spot. Once there, you are looking for an NPC standing outside the Stable named Aya. She will tell you that they are being threatened by a group of pirates that have shown up off the coast of Akkala near the Stable. Aya asks Link to get rid of them before they pose a threat to the stable. If you run east, to the cliff overlooking the sea, you will be able to see all three ships. From here just glide down and you should land in the water near the ladder of the first ship, and use it to board the ship.
Like most missions revolving around wiping out a group of Bokoblins and their leaders, a monster force bar will appear letting you know if there are any survivors. You should make use of the ladders around the ship to climb to high ground, and keep Link safe while you are fighting off the enemies. Watch out for the Bokoblins that shoot arrows and take out the Aerocudas to ensure that nothing knocks you down. You can easily use Bomb Flowers to attack the group as a whole.
Once the first ship is completed, move to the second and continue the same plan of attack. Be sure to grab the chest in the middle of the Zonai devices on the deck of the ship containing a Sapphire. After this, move to the third and final ship, it’s the farthest away from the coast and has a monster chest in one of the crows nests. Once the enemies are wiped out, the chest will unlock allowing you to grab a Blue Hinox Hammer. Return to Aya at the East Akkala Stable to let her know that the pirates have been wiped out, she will give you two Pony Points and an Endura Carrot for your trouble.
