The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

All Divine Beast Helms found in Tears of the Kingdom - Locations and Special Abilities

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page details how to get all four Divine Helms in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In addition to their locations, you will also find information on the special abilities of all divine helms.

What are the Divine Beast Helms in Tears of the Kingdom?

For those of you who are new to the Zelda franchise, the Divine Helms are a nod back to Breath of the Wild and the four divine beasts you had to free from Ganon’s control.

In Tears of the Kingdom, you can find these helms in tricky to find caves, and surprisingly, all you have to do is actually find the caves - there are no enemies to fight! Each of the four Divine Helms represents the four different beasts and has a unique ability that also reflect the region you find them in!

Follow the links below to jump to the relevant Divine Helm:

How to Find Vah Medoh Divine Helm

The "Vah Medoh Divine Helm" iconVah Medoh Divine Helm is found in the snowy Hebra region. More specifically you can find it in "North Biron Snowshelf Cave" iconNorth Biron Snowshelf Cave (Map Marker) in the northwest region of Hebra.

To get into the cave, you’ll first need to melt a huge chunk of ice blocking the entrance. You can do this either with a torch, fire weapon, fire emitter etc. Once it’s been melted away, you can pass through into the first section of this cave.

Melt the huge ice block in front of the cave entrance to gain access.

You’ll find several "Bomb Flower" iconBomb Flowers here that you’ll want to pick up for later! The first relevant use of these bombs is to explode the breakable rocks just up ahead. Then, you can drop down to another cavern with some Rito-esque carving. You’ll want to use the gust of wind in the center of the room to boost yourself into the air. From here, you’ll need to shoot the 2 lots of breakable rocks on either side of the Rito carvings using bomb flower fused arrows to let in waterfalls of water. There are three waterfalls in total, with the final set of breakable rocks found on the opposite wall to the carving (behind you).

Use Bomb Flower arrows to explode the breakable rocks to let the three waterfalls in.

Once all three waterfalls have poured into the room, it’ll open up a hidden room behind the rock carving, where you’ll find the helm! The Vah Medoh Helm offers cold resistance and can be a great alternative to purchasing cold resist armor from Rito village.

How to Find Vah Ruta Divine Helm

This is one of the easiest helmets to get of the four Divine Helms and it can be found in the Lanayru Region ! Firstly, make your way over to Zora’s Domain. From there, head southwest towards the huge waterfall at the bottom of the city - near the Great Zora Bridge. Drop down and swim behind the giant waterfall to find the "Cave Under Zora's Domain" iconCave Under Zora’s Domain cave (catchy name!) (Map Marker). Inside here, you’ll want to then drop down and make your way over to the other waterfall on the opposite side of the cave. To get the helm, all you need to do is proceed behind this second water fall to locate the chest.

The Vah Ruta helmet is a great accompaniment to the "Zora Armor" iconZora Armor you get during the Water Temple main quest as both armor pieces offer increased swim speed!

(1 of 2) Locate the Cave Under Zora’s Domain by passing behind the huge waterfall near the bridge

How to Find Vah Rudania Divine Helm

The "Vah Rudania Divine Helm" iconVah Rudania Divine Helm is found in a cave called "Lizard's Burrow" iconLizard’s Burrow (Map Marker) on the north side of Death Mountain in the Eldin Region. More specifically, you can find the cave between the two lizard lakes! Look for the cave opening that’s blocked by rocks and then use explosives or Yunobo’s charge ability to smash through the rocks.

Destroy the rocks blocking the cave entrance!

In this cave you’ll find a chest containing the Vah Rudania Divine Helm, which offers Flame Guard. Flame Guard means you can head down into caves in the Eldin region and around Death Mountain and not set yourself on fire! This helmet is a great alternative to purchasing the "Flamebreaker Armor" iconFlamebreaker Armor, which sells for an eye watering 700 rupees!

How to Find Vah Naboris Divine Helm

The "Vah Naboris Divine Helm" iconVah Naboris Divine Helm is located in the Gerudo Region, just northwest of West Gerudo Ruins. More specifically, you’ll find this helm in a chest inside "West Gerudo Underground Ruins" iconWest Gerudo Underground Ruins cave (Map Marker) . To get into this cave, you’ll need to cross the vast desert north of Gerudo Town - we recommend first completing the Lightning Temple to clear the sandstorm and then using the rental "Sand Seal" iconSand Seals, which can be hired from the East Gate in !Gerudo Town, to travel northwards to the cave.

(1 of 3) Use Sand Seals to cross the desert and get to the cave quickly!

The cave entrance is not immediately obvious and can be easy to miss! First off head to the West Gerudo Ruins and then find the large skeletal ribcage just northwest. Inside the ribcage you’ll find a "Shock Like" iconShock Like and a small hole in the center, beneath the ribcage.

Explode the rocks blocking the hole downwards using a bomb flower or timed bomb then pass into the room below. You’ll notice that the whole place is absolutely covered in breakable rocks…that you’re going to need to smash through to reach the chest containing the helm.

Luckily, the statues with swords point where you need to break through the rocks. And with the help of Yunobo, you should be able to make quick work of this rocky situation. In addition to using Yunobo, you’ll need to go through a ton of rock/boulder-fused weapons, but you’ll get plenty of "Rusty Claymore" iconRusty Claymores and rocks along the way to keep replenishing your stock.

Follow the direction in which the statues are pointing their swords!

First, you’ll want to break the rocks directly opposite the entrance. This will reveal two statues pointing to the right. You’re going to want to then break the rocks in the middle ish of the right wall. This will take a while but eventually you’ll come to some steps and another statue - this one points south. Continue hitting the rocks southwards until you come to a gap in the wall where you can pass into the room with the chest containing the helm!

The Vah Naboris Helm offers Shock resistance and is great protection versus shock enemies, like the Shock Like just outside the cave!
