This page details how to complete The Closed Door main quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK).
How to Find All Three Shrines to Open Temple of Time¶
In order to open up Temple of Time, you’ll need to complete three shrines. We’ve detailed how to find and complete each of the shrines:
Shrine | How to Reach the Shrine | Interactive Map Location |
---|---|---|
Ukouh Shrine | Where to Find the First Shrine | Map Marker |
In-isa Shrine | Where to Find the Second Shrine | Map Marker |
Gutanbac Shrine | Where to Find the Third Shrine | Map Marker |
After you’ve completed the three shrines, you’ll need to return to the Temple of Time to, at long last, open up the door! When you open the door this will conclude The Open Door main quest and when you interact with the glowing object inside you will witness a cut scene and unlock the Recall ability.
However, even though the quest has finished you’ll want to head further into the Temple of Time. Swim across the water to the set of steps and then equip your new ability, Recall. Then cast it on the cog by pressing then aiming at the cog and pressing so that you can hop onto it and ride it to the top. Then, stop the recall by pressing and then cast Recall on the cog in front to then use that one to take you into the next room.
Interact with the door behind the Goddess Statue and you’ll find that you’re not strong enough to open it! Rauru will tell you that you need to receive one more Light of Blessing so that you can earn a Heart container from the Goddess Statue (you need 4 Lights of Blessing). Rauru will tell you that you’ll need to complete one more shrine. He tells you to fast travel to the Room of Awakening (yay we’ve unlocked fast travel!) to reach the fourth shrine. Head over to our page on how to reach the fourth shrine for information on the next quest activity.
