As soon as you arrive at Lookout Landing, you will learn that things in Hyrule are in turmoil. Not only are several regions facing strange occurrences, but speaking with Garini reveals that not even the peaceful Lurelin Village has escaped from trouble. Village Attacked by Pirates is a side quest attached to a longer side adventure that can be difficult to complete. The guide below goes over how to finish Village Attacked by Pirates and how to free Lurelin Village.
How to Save Lurelin Village¶
When you finally reach Hyrule you will be able to travel to Lookout Landing. At the General Store, you will find an NPC named Garini. He will tell you that he has traveled to Lookout Landing because Lurelin Village has been overrun by pirates. This starts the quest Village Attacked By Pirates. If you’re just starting the game, you may want to hold off on heading down to Lurelin Village until you get some better gear. The monster army attacking the village is quite strong.
If you’re ready to complete the quest, then warp to the Sifumim Shrine if it’s unlocked. Next to it, you will see a tent with two villagers standing in front of it. Speak to them and they will explain the village’s current status. This will trigger the side adventure, Ruffian-Infested Village. For a guide on where to find all the monster forces in Lurelin Village and tips on how to defeat them check out our guide on the side adventure here. Once the village is freed, and you have repaired Lurelin in the Lurelin Village Restoration Project side adventure, return to Lookout Landing and speak with Garini again. He gives you a Mighty Salt-Grilled Crab and will return to Lurelin, and you can find him on the dock there to start his side quest A Way to Trade, Washed Away.
