You will find plenty of different side quests in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, with quite a few of them being found in !Gerudo Town. One such side quest is called Into the Ruins!, where you need to find a set of large statues out in the !Gerudo Desert. This page will detail where to start the Into the Ruins! side quest, as well as how to complete it.
Where to Start Into the Ruins! in Tears of the Kingdom¶
During the Regional Phenomena main quest, you are tasked with head to four of the main regions in the game’s world. One of those is the Gerudo Region, which has been overrun with a sandstorm. This will lead to you uncovering the Lightning Temple and clearing it, a task that will result in the sand shroud being lifted from the desert. Once you do this, Gerudo Town will return to normal. By the eastern exit is the Sand-Seal Rental Shop, where you rent Sand-Seals to help cross the desert.
You will find two NPCs talking near the shop, named Pokki and Frelly (the latter is the owner of the shop). !Pokki mentions some large statues in the eastern part of the desert, which are all facing each other. She doesn’t know their exact location and would like to go there to check them out.
How to Complete Into the Ruins! in Tears of the Kingdom¶
After initially logging the quest, speak with !Pokki again to learn that she really wants to go to those statues. She says that she’ll be happy to have you take her, on a sleigh seal. Speak to Frelly after this and rent a Sleigh Seal, as that is what you’ll need. Despite !Pokki saying the exploration expenses were taken care of, you’ll still need to pay the 50 rupees to rent the sand-seal. You will appear right outside of the eastern gate, upon renting it, so locate !Pokki just inside the gate and tell her you’re ready to go.
The sand-seal will move automatically and you can press the A button to do a dash. You will be heading to the East Gerudo Ruins, which is located just north of the East Gerudo Chasm. In fact, if you look at your map and zoom in all the way, you can actually see some structures that all seem to be pointing at one another. Naturally, you want to avoid any enemies on your little journey there, but other than that, it should be completely uneventful.
Once you arrive at your destination, !Pokki will get off of the sled and you’ll get a brief view of some statues. That will conclude the side quest, too, and you’ll receive a Silver Rupee as a reward.
