There are plenty of side quests to find in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. If you visit Goron City, you will notice that most of the town is engrossed with the Marbled Rock Roast. Luckily there are still some quests around that don’t require you to finish the Fire Temple. Simmerstone Springs is one of these quests, and it’s rather easy to complete. The guide below goes over how to start the quest and where to find Simmerstone Springs in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
Where to Find Simmerstone Springs in TotK¶
To start Simmerstone Springs you can speak with Kima on the bridge behind the Inn in !Goron City. !Kima will tell you that he’s looking for the legendary hot spring and tell you to check at Goron Hot Springs for information on the location. Once there speak with the Goron relaxing in the water, Grapp. Grapp will tell you that Simmerstone Springs is located inside of Gorko Tunnel, but the path to the spring has been sealed by rocks. You will need to equip heat-resistant armor for this area or use heat-resistant food. Don’t use Bomb Flowers to break the rock, bombs will immediately explode in high temperature areas and damage Link. Either use Yunobo if you have him or a weapon that can break through rocks.
Head to Gorko Tunnel a little further down from Goron Hot Springs. Once there you should spot a cave entrance, go inside and you should quickly run into rocks. Eventually, you will come to a pool of lava with a treasure chest on the other side. Inside is an Ancient Blade, grab it and continue down the path. Soon you should break the rocks that lead to Simmerstone !Spring. When you do a cutscene will play where !Kima appears and gets into the water. He will give you a Silver Rupee for your trouble and place Eggs in the spring. This will automatically turn into !Spring-boiled Eggs and after a day goes by, !Kima will place more in the spring for you to collect.
