The new abilities in Tears of the Kingdom are nothing short of exceptional, really making Breath of the Wild pale in comparison. Naturally, these abilities are used throughout the new shrines and Oshozan-u Shrine is definitely one of these.
This challenge is full of fusing, using new Zonai devices, and digging deep in your brain to find the right solution. If you’re struggling though, we’ve completed the puzzle and if you read on, this guide will reveal all.
Where to Find Oshozan-u Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom¶
If you’re unsure where to actually find the shrine to begin with, you’re going to be needing to head to Tabantha Tundra for this one. To be more specific, you’ll be wanting to go to the northern most point of this area.

How to Complete Oshozan-u Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom¶
The Mallet Smash challenge.
The name of the Oshozan-u Shrine challenge is Mallet Smash but there are in fact no mallets to be found in Tears of the Kingdom so what it’s really asking is for you to use your own ingenuity to come up with the solution.
As previously alluded to, this means using Link’s new abilities combined with some Zonai tech to get through.
When entering the shrine, you’ll see a large log on the ground as well as a Zonai Rocket. These are used to create the ‘mallet’ to then hit the target in that same room. To do so, you first use Ultrahand to grab the log and then attach it to the cube on rails. Once this is done, grab the !Rocket, also using 
Ultrahand, and angle it so it is facing toward the target. After, attach that same !Rocket to the cube, and hit it to set it off to activate the target, opening the door.

In this next room, you’ve got a similar puzzle to overcome. Use Ultrahand to pick up the smaller of the two logs in front of you and attach it to the mechanism facing downwards. Then, pick up the larger log, rotate it so it is at a 90 degree angle to the one you’ve just attached and attach it, creating a large angled ‘mallet’.
Now, pick up the !Rocket and attach this in a similar fashion to the large log, keeping the same angle. Once done, you can hit the contraption and it will spin, hitting the desired target.

Doing this unlocks the final door, and thus completing the shrine, allowing you to pick up your 
Light of Blessing.
