Shrine Quests throw a little extra challenge for those who are on the hunt to complete all shrines in Tears of the Kingdom, making it that bit more difficult. One such Shrine Quest is The North Hyrule Sky Crystal which is required for you to unlock the Mayam Shrine.
With this guide, we’ll be detailing exactly how to complete it so that you can get that all-important shrine unlocked, securing its rewards, and onto the next one in your checklist.
Where to Find The North Hyrule Sky Crystal Shrine Quest¶

Naturally, the initial step in completing !The North Hyrule Sky Crystal Shrine Quest involves locating it. Unlike other quests in Hyrule that you might discover on your journey, this Shrine Quest in particular is not located on the ground level, necessitating a journey to the skies.
Your starting point here should be Thyphlo Ruins, positioned right at the top of the map, pretty much directly in the middle. If you haven’t ventured there yet, this map marker should guide you. Upon reaching Thyphlo Ruins, activate the Skyview Tower nearby, as it offers the most convenient route skywards and then onto where you need to access the quest.
After activating the tower, use the boost to propel yourself into the air. This launch will facilitate your gliding descent onto one of the platforms nestled within the Northern Sky Hyrule Archipelago. Once you land, look towards the right side of the group of islands to spot the shrine’s location. However, you’ll notice that the actual shrine is mysteriously absent.
Head straight to it and activate the shrine as you usually would. Instead of the shrine being accessed though, you’ll get a mysterious message and thus starting the !The North Hyrule Sky Crystal Shrine Quest.
How to Complete The North Hyrule Sky Crystal Shrine Quest¶
With the quest now underway, your goal is to decipher the hint given to you. This is a pretty vague one as it states; “Seek the crystal connected to the beam and offer it to the shrine. Do so, and I will grant you a light that banishes evil.” But, since we’re here, we’ve done the hard work, allowing you to simply get on with it.

The crystal you’re looking for is on one of the other sky islands in this area. This is the large round one that you should be able to see from your current position at the shrine, and if you’re eagle-eyed, you’ll also spot a boss on there.
This boss is the 
Flux Construct I, and on its back is the crystal you’re after. You can simply defeat it and grab the crystal off it, but the more efficient and quicker way is to steal it using 
Ultrahand.

To do this, glide down from the higher position you’re at, aim to land on one of the floating platforms above the Flux Construct and use Ultrahand when it comes close enough to grab it.
Now this is the tricky part, getting the crystal back to the shrine in order to activate it. The way you do this is by taking the crystal to the small circular section of the one you’re currently on.

Here you should be able to see a platform that is usually of a floating nature. 
Fuse your crystal on top of it and fuse the rockets that are scattered all around here onto the platform to create both enough upward trajectory, and the right angle to head to the shrine location.
What we recommend here is to fuse multiple rockets face upward and then at least one facing toward the area where the shrine is. This will hopefully propel you with enough force to get to where you need to be.

Once you make it, grab the crystal off the platform and take it to the shrine. You’ll now have activated the !Mayam Shrine and thus completing !The North Hyrule Sky Crystal Shrine Quest.
