There are a ton of quests to do around !Goron City. Many of these won’t appear until after you have completed the Fire Temple. Meat For Meat, is one such quest that tasks you with delivering food to a nearby Bistro. Finding Rock Roast can be a bit confusing though, especially if you haven’t explored many of the nearby caves. The guide below goes over how to start the Meat For Meat side quest and where to find Rock Roast in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
Where to Find Rock Roast in Meat For Meat ToTK¶
You won’t be able to start Meat For Meat until you have completed the Fire Temple and freed the Goron’s from the Marbled Rock Roast’s spell. Once this is done, visit the Bedrock Bistro next to Goronbi Lake, be sure to activate the nearby Timawak Shrine. Upon reaching the counter, you will see a dispute ensuing between Cooke and a Hylian named Mezer. Mezer will request that you find him some Rock Roast to trade to Cooke.
You can find Rock Roast in the West Restaurant Cave. To get there, follow the tracks next to the bistro back towards Goron City until you see a cave opening, there will be an NPC washing off in the hot springs in front of it making it easy to find. Before going into the cave, be sure to put on heat-resistant armor or use a heat-resistant food. Once inside of the cave, you will see a river of lava. Use the ledge to glide across. You will want to grab the nearby Hydrant, which can be found in the ruins to your right, and use it to make a bridge in the lava. Once you have a safe way across, pick up a piece of Rock Roast or use Ultrahand to lift it. Carefully move across the bridge, and go back out of the cave. There is a mine cart and fan nearby, so fuse the rock roast to the cart, and use it to quickly return to the Bedrock Bistro.
Once you are back, carry the Rock Roast to the counter and a cutscene will play. Mezer will be able to make his trade and give you a Large Zonai Charge in the process. After this quest is done, the Rock Roast or Dust side quest will open up with Cooke. You will also be able to speak to a nearby Goron named Gomo to complete the Cash in on Ripened Flint side quest.
