The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Blue Stone Walkthrough - Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

By
Jarrod Garripoli

You’ll find a large number of side quests to do in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, with !Zora’s Domain having quite a few of them. One of those is The Blue Stone, a side quest that becomes available after completing the Zora’s portion of Regional Phenomena. This page will detail where to start "The Blue Stone" iconThe Blue Stone, as well as how to complete it.

Ledo needs help getting a blue stone from a nearby cave.

Where to Start The Blue Stone in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

As with a lot of the side quests in the Zora’s Domain region, you will need to wait until you complete that area in the "Regional Phenomena" iconRegional Phenomena main quest. Once you have done this, go to the East Reservoir Lake and locate the one dock there. You will find a Zora at the end of that dock, named Ledo, who mentions finding a blue stone in a nearby cave. While the stones are of a stunning quality, they are also very heavy, and Ledo wouldn’t be able to swim with one in hand. Of course, that’s where you come into play here.

How to Get the Blue Stone in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

So, your goal is to get to the nearby cave (Reservoir Lakefront Cavern), find the blue stone and bring it back to Ledo. Of course, you won’t be able to swim to the cave and back, since you are restricted by your stamina, but you are able to build a makeshift boat to transport the stone. Thankfully, you don’t need to go far, either, to find the items needed to make your boat. Backtrack a tiny bit on the dock and look west to spy a rocky platform on the water, with two Fans and a Steering Stick on it. Right next to that is some debris, where you will see two wooden boards.

(1 of 4) He will point out that the cave is pretty close to his location.

With those, you will be able to make an easy craft that allows you to get to the cave. Use "Ultrahand" iconUltrahand to bring the boards and other items (you can just glue everything together to easily bring it over, then break it apart) to the dock, then construct your boat there. You should only need a single board, a fan on the back, and the steering stick on the front, which will be more than enough to get you to the cave and back. When you have finished, drive your boat to the cave and enter it.

(1 of 4) Reservoir Lakefront Cavern is the name of the cave you’re going to here.

At the entrance, you should see two paths before you, one of which is covered in vines. The vine-covered opening leads to a room that houses the "Bubbulfrog" iconBubbulfrog here, so you might as well defeat it to grab the "Bubbul Gem" iconBubbul Gem, while you’re here. The other path leads to another room, where you will locate the blue stone that Ledo mentioned. Pick one up, attach it to your boat, and bring it back to Ledo on the dock. You just need to drop it by where he’s standing to trigger the cutscene. For your efforts, Ledo will reward you with the "Zora Fabric" iconZora Fabric, for your "Paraglider" iconParaglider.
