The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

How to Complete Ukoojisi Shrine

By
Jacob Woodward

While the majority of shrines in Tears of the Kingdom allow you to simply run up and activate them, there are some shrines that require a bit more in order to unlock. The Ukoojisi Shrine is one of these, requiring you to do a little work to gain access.

To eliminate any mystery and difficulty surrounding the !Ukoojisi Shrine, we’ve done the hard work for you and this guide reveals all on what you need to do to get this shrine completed.

Where to Find Ukoojisi Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

Making it to the Ukoojisi Shrine

Before you even think about both activating the !Ukoojisi Shrine and subsequently completing it, you’ll need to locate it on the map. Now, for this one, you’ll need to think skyward as it is not on the ground. Instead, it is on a sky island that you’ll need to fly to which makes things a little more tricky than simply running up to it.

To start your journey there, your best bet is to look toward the Sahara Slope Skyview Tower. This one is situated within the Necluda region so ensure you’ve both visited there and got it unlocked to begin.

If you have, simply use the tower to propel you into the sky and immediately get your paraglider out when you can. This is due to the fact that you’ll be slowly making your way to the set of islands which house the !Ukoojisi Shrine named the West Necluda Sky Archipelago.

Flying to the set of islands where the shrine is located

Look to the east once you’re flying and head toward the largest of the islands here which is the one with almost four prongs coming out of each side. The shrine is located on the south west portion here so land here is possible.

Once you’ve made the descent to the shrine area, as previously alluded to, you’ll soon see that you need to do something to get it activated. For this one, the unlock is tied to a Shrine Quest, similar to that of other shrines that are located within the sky.

The Shrine Quest in question is The West Necluda Sky Crystal Shrine Quest and as you probably expected from the name of this one, you’ll be collecting the shrine’s crystal and returning it, restoring it to its former glory.

We won’t take you through it here, but we have a full West Necluda Sky Crystal Shrine Quest guide for you to read over if you’re unsure how to get it done. Once you finish up the quest, you will be able to activate the shrine thus allowing you inside.

As you enter the shrine you’ll soon realize that there is no additional challenge and you’ve done the hard part. What you will see though is a chest waiting for you containing a shield. Always nice to bolster the defenses.

And with that, you can simply head to the exit and pick up your "Light of Blessing" iconLight of Blessing, completing yet another shrine in the process.
