There are four Great Fairy Fountains that you will need to unlock in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. By unlocking all four Great Fairies, you will be able to upgrade your armor all the way and withstand tougher enemies. To unlock each Great Fairy, including Cotera, you will need to complete a side adventure. The guide below goes over how to reach Cotera in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
How to Unlock Cotera The West Necluda Great Fairy¶
To unlock Cotera, you will need to travel to the Dueling Peaks Stable in West Necluda. Here you will find Mastro, who will tell you that she enjoys the sound of Beetz drum. If you haven’t completed Beetz quest, Honey, Bee Mine, then click here to for the guide and then return to !Mastro. Once the Stable Trotters are all together, speak with !Mastro, and he will tell you that the bridge to the Great Fairy is broken and that they are having trouble crossing the river. The game will then move them down to the river across from Cotera’s island.
Your goal here is to build a boat, and to the right of the wagon is tons of wood, fans, and a sail. Make a raft larger enough to hold the boat and equip the fans. You will want to keep it a bit on shore but aimed towards Cotera’s island. Keep the sail placed on the raft, but don’t put it on until you have fused the wagon and spoken with Mastro again to tell him that Link will take him to the island. Once everyone’s on board, move the raft into the water and hit, attach the sail, and activate the fans. Mastro may complain about you rocking the wagon while shoving into the water. Ignore this. It won’t stop the mission unless you are constantly moving the boat. When you reach the Great Fairy, the music troupe will get out and awaken her.
