The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

How to Complete Zanmik Shrine

By
Jacob Woodward

With the new abilities introduced in Tears of the Kingdom there’s plenty of opportunity to make wild and wacky inventions. While this may be fun, there are times when you need to think more functionally, and this is especially true in the "Zanmik Shrine" iconZanmik Shrine.

With this guide, we’ll run you through both where to find the Zanmik Shrine as well as how to complete it, hopefully making the process as speedy as possible for you.

Where to Find Zanmik Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

The !Zanmik Shrine entrance

The Zanmik Shrine is actually a pretty easy one to find as it is right there in the open, ready for you to activate it. However, you will have had to reach Hateno Village for this one as it is located almost within this peaceful area.

If you have already explored enough to find !Hateno Village then great, you should be able to see the Zanmik Shrine on the hill to the south west. If you haven’t though, here is a map marker from our interactive map to help you out.

How to Complete Zanmik Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom

Upon entering the Zanmik Shrine, you’ll actually see the exit pretty much in front of you but naturally this is locked behind a puzzle completion. Here, you’ll need to get a ball into the bowl on this same level in order to activate the door unlock.

As previously alluded to, you’ll be needing to use your head in order to do so as the ball required is on the level beneath you. So, jump down to get this started.

Once down there, you’ll be presented with a large wheel and a bunch of square platform pieces. What you’ll be doing here is fusing the pieces onto the large wheel in order to create a scoop to get the ball out. Now, you can look to make an intricate box in order to do this but we suggest doing a bit of cheating. "Fuse" iconFuse four of the pieces together to create an even larger square and attach this to the wheel.

Then, place the remaining piece to the left, in between the two yellow circles on the floor to create a circuit and allow the wheel to move. What this will do is scoop most, if not all of the balls out of the pit revealing a chest. Inside should be a weapon, always a nice to have.

To get a ball up to the next level though is where the cheating comes in. Attach one of the balls to the side of the wheel which should still be turning. Then, turn around and head up the ladder to the starting area and into the chute. Here you can detach your scoop and look for the ball on the side of the wheel. Grab it with "Ultrahand" iconUltrahand and place it into the bowl thus opening the exit door.

And that’s all there is to it, simply go through the door and pick up your Blessing of !Light to complete the shrine.
