Once you finish the Wind Temple, you will unleash "Colgera" iconColgera, a large dragon, into the sky. This is a huge boss that has to be fought through special means. You will need to use your glider along with Tulin’s Gust power to defeat the !Wind Temple Boss. The guide below goes over how to damage Colgera, defeat his second phase, and finish off the !Wind Temple in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

How to Damage Colgera in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom

Once Colgera emerges, you and !Tulin will be shot up high into the air. This is where the entirety of the boss battle will take place. Your stamina will automatically refill every time you close and reopen your glider, so don’t worry about falling to your death. Your goal here is to take Colgera down. The boss has three segments of his body that are covered in rocks. After flying around for a short stint, he will start to shed these rocks upwards. Open and close your glider to move down, moving side to side to avoid the rocks.

(1 of 3) !Colgera launches rocks off his back, exposing his weak spot.

When you are directly overhead, close your glider and allow Link to fall through the ice, this will damage Colgera, and he will summon a portal. You will want to stay towards the middle of the air space and move over as he will open another portal below you and fly up; touching Colgera will deal damage. You will need to repeat the process of breaking the ice on his back. This time it will be in the middle of his body. He will repeat the same process as when you broke the first piece, avoid him when he comes out of his portal, and wait for him to shed his rocks so that you can break the ice near his tail and start Colgera’s second phase.

How to Defeat Colgera’s Second Phase in TotK

Damaging Colgera is the same as in the first phase, and you will need to do this three more times as the ice on his back has returned. Avoid him when he comes out of the portal to start the second Phase and fly back toward the end of the ship. Colgera will now summon a wall of tornadoes. Fly to the side and around him. When you are safe, you will see him shedding his first layer of rocks. Use !Tulin’s Gust to quickly make your way over the ice, avoid the flying rocks, and drop Link through his body to deal damage.

(1 of 3) Colgera emerging for his second phase.

He will once again create a portal and then reappear below you, dodge him, and he will summon his second wave of tornados. This time they surround him but are generally pretty easy to maneuver around. Colgera will sit right in the middle of the tornado shedding his rocks, use Gust to speed over to him, and break the ice in the middle of his body. He will once again run off into a portal and then attack from below before surrounding himself with tornados. Maneuver around them and use Gust to make your way over the final bit of ice. Once Link plunges through it, Colgera will be defeated, and a cutscene explaining more of Hyrule’s lore will play out in front of you.
