The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Rock Roast or Dust Walkthrough - Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

By
Jessica Dillon

There are plenty of side quests throughout Hyrule, some of which won’t unlock until after you clear a region’s temple. This is the case with the "Fire Temple" iconFire Temple in Eldin. Many of the Gorons will be consumed by the Marbled Rock Roast and won’t give out quests until the problem is dealt with. Rock Roast or Dust is one of these quests and can be found at the "Bedrock Bistro" iconBedrock Bistro. The guide below goes over how to complete "Rock Roast or Dust" iconRock Roast or Dust, and where to find Rock Roast in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

Start Rock Roast or Dust by speaking with Cooke at the Bedrock Bistro.

Where to Find Rock Roast in Roast or Dust in ToTK

Rock Roast or Dust unlocks after you have completed the Fire Temple, and the quest "Meat For Meat" iconMeat For Meat. You will want to once again return to the Bedrock Bistro. This time, you simply need to speak with Cooke at the counter. He will tell you that he again needs Rock Roast. You can get the next piece of Rock Roast from the same location you did in Meat For Meat. Just put your heat-resistant armor back on or eat an heat-resistant dish before entering into West Restaurant Cave. This cave can be found by following the mine cart tracks towards !Goron City. Once you get close, you will see a small hot spring with an NPC washing off out front.

(1 of 7) Return to West Restaurant Cave.

Go into the cave. If you just did the previous quest, your bridge should still be there. If not, glide over the lava and grab a Hydrant. Use it on the river to make a bridge to safely cross. Once you are done, pick up a piece of Rock Roast and carry it back out of the cave. You can load it into the nearby mine cart for quick transport back to the Bedrock Bistro. Once you arrive, carry the Rock Roast over to the counter and a cutscene will play. In exchange for the Rock Roast, Cooke will give you a "Seared Gourmet Steak" iconSeared Gourmet Steak.

From this point onward, you can bring Cooke more Rock Roast, in exchange for Seared Gourmet Steak. Before you leave the Bistro, make sure to speak with Gomo to finish the last side quest in the area, "Cash in on Ripened Flint" iconCash in on Ripened Flint.
