What is Dubious Food?¶
At least once in your life on either Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom, you’re gonna make Dubious Food. Dubious Food is technically a failed attempt at making food but depending on the ingredients used, it can restore some health - not a recommended method of making restorative foods though! Dubious Food is the result of making food with the following combinations:
- Combining food ingredients with either monster parts or critters.
- Just cooking critters on their own.
- Just cooking monster parts on their own.
- Just cooking seasonings on their own.
- Any recipe that would create an elixir without an effect (so using ingredients that cancel each other out i.e. chilly ingredient with a spicy ingredient).
In a similar way, you can also make Rock-Hard food, which is the resultof cooking an invalid recipe, specifically when cooking food with wood or ores/rocks. It will only ever restore a quarter of a heart.
