The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

How to Complete Nachoyah Shrine

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page offers a guide on how to complete Nachoyah Shrine, which is the fourth shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK). This shrine is found on the Great Sky Island.

Nachoyah Shrine: The Ability to Rewind.

Where to Find Nachoyah Shrine

After you’ve returned to the Temple of Time, you’ll discover that you have one more shrine to complete: Nachoyah Shrine. It’s pretty easy to get there: fast travel back to the Room of Awakening, head to the left and use Ascend to pass through onto the upper platform near the spinning cogs. Next, use Recall to rewind the cogs so you can pass over to a path on the other side. Follow the path into the next room and you’ll find Nachoyah Shrine - the final shrine you’ll need to do before you can finally head down to Hyrule!

How to Use Recall

Before you entered this shrine, you’ll have learned Recall at the Temple of Time. Recall reverses an object’s movement until it’s back to where it originates, and you can stop this reverse at any time. This can be used most often to make moving objects go in the opposite direction.

Recall can be used to reverse an object’s movement.

Nachoyah Shrine: How to Cross the Water

As you head into the shrine, you’ll notice that a raft is flowing towards you down stream. Head to the ledge and then activate recall on it, then quickly jump aboard. It’ll take you upstream, allowing you to cross the strong currents to the other side.

Here you’ll need to do the same thing with a second raft, only this time the raft will go up a waterfall as it reverses!

(1 of 2) Recall the raft and hop on as it takes you across the water

Recall the raft and hop on as it takes you across the water (left), repeat this again on the other side, only this time the raft will take you up a waterfall! (right)

In this next area, you’ll need to first head left to grab some loot! To get to the loot atop the platform in the sky, you’ll need to hit recall on the rotating cog. This will make it go backwards and you’ll be able to hop onto it and ride it to the top. Inside the chest you’ll find x10 Arrows. Drop down into the water and then head over to the opposite end of the room.

Recall the cog and ride it up to the treasure.

Nachoyah Shrine: Clock Hands Puzzle

Now at first glance, this puzzle is pretty tricky! Each time the hands pass over each other the door opens but its only for a split second and then it closes again! When you recall one of the hands it’ll go in the opposite direction whilst the other hand remains the same.

The answer to this puzzle is surprisingly simple: as soon as the hands pass over each other, recall one of the hands of the clock and they’ll start moving together! When this happens, you’ll have plenty of time to pass through the door and then you can cancel recall to put the clock back to normal!

On the other side of this door you’ll find the end of the shrine and you can claim your Light of Blessing.

(1 of 2) Recall one of the clock hands right as it passes over the other

Recall one of the clock hands right as it passes over the other (left), then pass through the door before cancelling the recall! (right)
