The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Amber Dealer Walkthrough - Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

By
Jessica Dillon

There are quite a few side quests sprinkled throughout Eldin. Many of them will be cut off until you complete the "Fire Temple" iconFire Temple, but there are a few that you can grab as soon as you arrive in Goron City. "Amber Dealer" iconAmber Dealer is one such quest, and it allows you to make a bit more money off of your gems. The guide below goes over where to find Ramella and how much money you will earn by selling your gems to her in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom

Speak with Ramella to start Amber Dealer in Eldin.

How to Complete Amber Dealer in TotK

You can start Amber Dealer as soon as you get near !Goron City by finding Ramella. She’s a merchant from Gerudo, so finding her is rather easy, but if you are having trouble, head to the locations below.

Ramella Locations and Price Chart

You can usually find her walking up the path from the Bedrock Bistro or next to the General Good Store in !Goron City. When you speak with her she will ask you to bring her ten pieces of Amber in exchange for 200 Rupees. These can be obtained from mining "Ore Deposit" iconOre Deposits. Luckily, on the other side of Death Mountain there is the Lake Darman Monster Den that has plenty of Ore inside of it. All you need to do to finish this quest is to bring the ten Amber to Ramella, and things will wrap up after you receive your payment. From here on out though, Ramella will request gems in sets of ten for a lofty sum of money. The table below goes over everything Ramella will request, and how much of a profit you will make.

Gem Type (Stack of 10) Ramella’s Price Store Price Pricing Difference
"Amber" iconAmber 200 Rupees 100 Rupees 100 Rupees
Topaz 1,000 Rupees 800 Rupees 200 Rupees
"Sapphire" iconSapphire 1,700 Rupees 1,500 Rupees 200 Rupees
Ruby 1,300 Rupees 1,100 Rupees 200 Rupees
"Diamond" iconDiamond 5,500 Rupees 5,000 Rupees 500 Rupees

As you can see there is a slight profit of between to be made by selling to Ramella, as long as you keep these two things in mind. First Ramella goes through a list of gems she buys, you will need to sell her one type before she moves on to the rest. This can be a problem if you end up with ten Sapphire, but only have five !Ruby. Next, even if you have the gem she is currently buying, she only purchases in stacks of ten. In many scenarios it may be better to just go ahead and sell your gems to a standard shop if you need money quickly.

Keep in mind that Ramella won’t change the item she is looking for until you have made a sale. Even if you sleep in an Inn or wait for time to pass in-game, the gem she wants won’t change. In addition to selling gems, you can also sell "Flint" iconFlint to Gomo down by the "Bedrock Bistro" iconBedrock Bistro. This will activate once you complete the short Meat For Meat side quest, and find him seated next to the Bedrock Bistro..
