Jacob Woodward

There’s no question that Tears of the Kingdom has a variety of armour options in the game, most, if not all having some form of unique value to them. The Barbarian Armour is certainly one of these, offering up a specific trait that we’re sure you’ll find advantageous.

However, this armour is hidden, and you’ll probably struggle to come across it simply exploring the world. So, to help you out, this guide will reveal all on the Barbarian Armour location so you to can get it for yourself.

What is Barbarian Armour in Tears of the Kingdom?

The Barbarian Armour in Tears of the Kingdom is an armour piece that will certainly aid you in your fight against the many foes you’ll be facing both in the overworld and in various boss battles.

This is because the Barbarian Armour has the Attack Up effect applied, meaning that your strikes will be enhanced, dealing more damage to those that you manage to hit. This is incredibly useful both early and late game where you’ll likely be needing to inflict as much pain as possible.

Where to Find Barbarian Armour in Tears of the Kingdom

So, if you want to pick up the Barbarian Armour for yourself, here is what you need to do.

First off, you’re going to be exploring one of the new Caves that have been introduced in Tears of the Kingdom. The one in question is the "Crenel Hills Cave" iconCrenel Hills Cave which can be found within Hyrule Field. See our precise map marker if you’re having trouble finding it.

Once you’ve made it to the Cave, it isn’t as simple as strolling in and picking it up off the ground. First, you’ll have to take on a "Stone Talus" iconStone Talus boss which makes its return from Breath of the Wild. We have a full guide on how to beat one if you’re struggling.

Once you dispatch this rock monster, your next task is to open up a hidden path since the Barbarian Armour is deeply tucked away. This path is actually blocked off by a bunch of luminous rock so you’re going to have to break these to get through. It’s also high up in the cave rather than being reachable by foot so breaking these requires using something like a "Bomb Flower" iconBomb Flower to do so. Luckily there are a few in this Cave so you shouldn’t have an issue.

Once you open up the path, simply climb the wall and head into the tunnel. Here you should be able to see a treasure room of sorts with a nice treasure chest in the middle. This is where the Barbarian Armour is at, so head straight to it and loot the chest.

Now you can equip the Barbarian Armour, get the Attack up bonus, and go around destroying enemies to your heart’s content.
