Finding the Master Sword in Tears of The Kingdom.

Where to Find The Master Sword in Tears of the Kingdom

The Master Sword isn’t in a fixed location, as noted by the Great "Deku Tree" iconDeku Tree. Instead, it’s moving around far above the surface of Hyrule. In order to find the sword, you need to activate Recovering The Hero’s Sword as your pinned quest and go to the sky section of your map. Once there, you should be able to see the dot marker on your map. The Master Sword will continue to move around as it’s stuck on the head of a dragon. Your best bet to catch it is to teleport to a nearby sky shrine and glide down onto the dragon’s back. Luckily, the dragon doesn’t move too fast, so gliding over to it is rather easy. To make things simpler, you can use a Zonai device to fly over to the dragon if it’s a bit too far away.

How Much Stamina Do You Need for Pulling the Master Sword?

Finding and landing on the dragon is the easy part. The hard part is pulling out the Master Sword, as you need to have two full stamina wheels to do so. If you haven’t upgraded your stamina bar, then you can donate four Lights of Blessing to one of the many "Goddess Statue" iconGoddess Statues around Hyrule - you can use our interactive map to find their locations! For more information on upgrading your stamina will, click here. Once you have enough stamina, all you need to do is interact with the sword and press the A button Joy-Con-ButtonA to see a cutscene and pull the Master Sword out of the dragon’s head. The Master Sword can now be used, and fusing materials to it will strengthen it. The Sword will still “break” after enough use but will reappear every ten minutes. During this time, you can fuse it with another item.
