This is a guide for Chapter 5 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, exploring the Great Sword’s Hilt in the Cadensia Region.
Where to go at the Great Sword’s Hilt¶

After riding the elevator in the Great Sword Passage, you’ll ascend to the hilt of the sword, far, far above ground level. If you’re afraid of heights, don’t look down…
To begin with, follow Shania west. After the corner, take the branch that goes west, which goes across the Airway Corridor. From here, go north a bit, then west some more. At the end of this passageway, there will be a cutscene and you’ll be plopped right in front of the entrance to the City.
If you want to explore the hilt a bit more, before crossing the Airway Corridor, you can go south to find a bunch of ladders. After climbing the third ladder, you’ll reach the top level of this area. Head anti-clockwise to find the Material Storage Warehouse; you’ll probably come back here soon.
Similarly, after crossing the Airway Corridor, head south to find a single ladder. Above, you can deftly jump to reach a container.
