Exploring is one of the key features in the Xenoblade Chronicles games, and Future Redeemed expands that with the Affinity Growth feature. Doing just about anything while exploring, whether it’s opening Containers, defeating enemies/Unique Enemies, or simply discovering locations, will reward you with Affinity Points. These points can then be spent on upgrading your characters’ skills. However, once you spend the points, you won’t be able to get them back, so you need to choose carefully.
Where to Find the Growth Reset Kit in Future Redeemed¶
Thankfully, there is one item in the game that will allow you to reset your Affinity Points for each character. You won’t be able to find this until Chapter 4, though, as you try to find your way to Origin and have to do two Scenario Quests. Specifically, when you go to the one cave that’s sealed, you will be able to find the Growth Reset Kit. This is when you’re trying to get the Photonium for the Ether Lift. At some point during this area, you will come across a little concentration of Igna enemies. This is right when you discover the Declessa Altar landmark, and right before the Enemy Territory there. If you look next to the ruins there, you should see a nice, shiny item on the ground, which will be the !Growth Reset Kit.
So, what does this item do? Well, first, it is an infinite use item, so it won’t go away after using it. To refund your Affinity Points spent on a character, go to your main menu, then to Characters, and Affinity Growth. On that screen, press the - button to make an option pop up with regards to respeccing that character’s Affinity Points. You can then use those points on another character, or get different skills on the initial character. It’s entirely up to you on what to do!
