Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Live Combat Training

By
Shane Williams

This is a guide for the “Live Combat Training” standard quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to defeating Foot’s Assault Team.

You can accept this quest from the Colony Gamma Noticeboard.

Foot’s squad, who excel in combat, asked for Eunie and Sena’s guidance, Teach them what they needed to know.

How to Start the Live Combat Training Standard Quest

Progress through the game until you reach Chapter 3, then you’ll need to find and complete the optional Hero Quest Going Beyond Power. You can find it by returning to the Gura Flava Camp in the Aetia region and making your way north to the Quest_Related_Event__2_.png icon on the map to trigger a scene and begin this Hero Quest.

Upon completion you’ll automatically receive the info fragment “Request From Teach” which you’ll need to discuss at the canteen, then take a look at the nearby Colony Gamma Noticeboard to find two requests you can pick up. For this quest, choose the Live Combat Training Option, then head back to the canteen and discuss it to get started.

How To Defeat Foots, Nagumo and Ysorrra

Head to the Gamma Assembly Yard and speak with any of the following: Foots, Nagumo or Ysorrra. Due to them constantly mocking Sena, she decides its time for a little battle to teach them a lesson. After the conversation has come to a close, make your way over to the Gamma, Staging Yard which is slightly to the north.

(1 of 2) Head over to the Gamma Staging Yard

Head over to the Gamma Staging Yard (left), and defeat Foot’s Assault Team. (right)

Here you’ll need to defeat Foots, Nagumo and Ysorrra along with some friends they’ve brought along to help. You shouldn’t have much trouble with this battle as long as you’re around their level so 25-27. If you find that their health isn’t going down fast enough, then press Joy-Con-ZL followed by Joy-Con-DPad-Up to cause the group to focus on the same person

Once you’ve successfully defeated them twice, Ysorrra will pull out and Nagumo and Foots will attempt to take you down on their own. The most difficult of the two is Nagumo, so focus on Foots, then put everything you’ve got into Nagumo, such as Buffs, Ouroboros and Chain Attack if you need it. After you’ve taught all three of them a lesson the quest will be completed.
