As you progress through the main story of Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed, you will eventually unlock the ability to upgrade your weapons, at Riku’s Workshop. In order to do this, you will need Bladestones, which are gotten from the various Containers and Relics, as well as other items. Once you get your weapons to level three, you will see that one of the items you need is Testudo Shoulder Guns.
How to Get Testudo Shoulder Guns in Future Redeemed¶
First and foremost, as you might already be aware, there are three different rarities of items. Normally, the Collectopaedia items only have a singular rarity they belong to, but drops from enemies can fall under all three rarities. This is important to remember, as if you look at the list of items needed for the Level 4 weapon upgrade, you see the Testudo Shoulder Guns are of the Rare rarity (the gold/yellow color).
Where to Find Testudos in Future Redeemed¶
If you follow the story, you will undoubtedly run across some Testudos in the wild. These are the large Levnises in the Agnian forces, and you don’t really see Agnus much in the beginning portions of the game. However, once you gain the ability to construct Ether Slides, you will have to pass through Lumos Garrison, an area that is ripe with Agnian forces, including Testudos. In fact, this is an Enemy Territory, so the enemies here will only be there until you clear all of them in one fell swoop. Leaving the territory and coming back will cause all of the enemies to respawn, so you’ll have to start from scratch.
Should you have cleared that Enemy Territory and not gotten the necessary items (you’ll need a total of six; one each for every character), then you can check out around the Lumos Pillar Remnants. There should be one in that area, right before climbing up the area. To easily respawn enemies, target another enemy, then look for the option to “Give Up.” Choose this in battle to respawn at the last landmark/camp, then go back to where the Testudo was located to see it has appeared again. Keep doing this until you have the necessary Shoulder Guns, then return to Riku’s Workshop to do the upgrading.
