This is a guide for the “Research Procedures” standard quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to defeating Agnians.

How to Start the Research Procedures Standard Quest¶
Progress through the game until you reach Chapter 5 and return to Colony Gamma, then speak with Namuki who can be found standing in the tent near the Gamma Canteen. Here you’ll obtain the Namuki Info Fragment, so discuss it at the canteen to begin this quest!
How To Defeat The Agnians¶
Once you’ve unlocked the quest, speak with Namuko in the Assembly Yard to begin the lesson. However, Lanz hasn’t got any ideas where to begin for the lesson but thankfully Namuki wants to see the difference between Kevesi and Agnians, so follow him to the Staging Yard to begin the lesson!
Here you’ll find out that Namuki has set up a test which involves Kevesi and Agnians participating in a mock battle in order to test their strength. These enemies are around level 40 here, so you should be slightly overleveled for this quest when you reach Chapter 5, so as long as you make use of Buffs, Cancel Attacks and Ouroboros you should be able to take them quickly.

When you shift your attention to the human enemies, make sure you have everyone focus on the Medics first, as that’ll prevent them from being able to heal their teammates. Afterwards, focus on the generic enemies before focusing on the named enemies. There really isn’t much reason to wait for an Interlink Level 3, so just use Chain Attack when it becomes available.
