How to Start the Shadow of Enmity Ascension Quest

Ascension Quests will start becoming available once you reach Chapter 5 in the main story. Beyond just simple story progress, there are several other steps for unlocking Ascension Quests which usually involve completing the Colony related Questlines (for Heroes that belong to one) along with ensuring that the Inheritor is at Rank 10 of the Class.

For Teach’s Ascension Quest, you’ll need to first ensure that you are on Chapter 6 and that Mio has reached Rank 10 with the Thaumaturge Class. If he’s yet to do this, remember you can use Silver Nopon Coins to raise the levels of a Class.

The final step needed for Teach’s Ascension Quest to become available is to complete the Extracurricular Lesson Quest that becomes available after completing the various quests associated with Colony Gamma. Remember to check for Info Fragments and the Teaching Board to unlock the next Quest in the Questline and eventually you should be able to check the Teaching Board to find the Info Fragment needed for Extracurricular Lesson.

Once you’ve achieved all of these steps, return to Colony Gamma with Teach in your party to trigger a scene that begins this Quest.

How to Complete the Shadow of Enmity Ascension Quest

Head to Everblight Plain

The exercise will take place at Everblight Plain, and the Colony Gamma soldiers have already assembled. Skip Travel to Torchlight Hill and walk east to meet up with them and get the ball rolling. Three Supply Drops will be scattered throughout the area, and you must head to each one and deal with the enemy group situated at each one.

The nearest can be found to the northeast, head there and you’ll run into a group of Volffs attacking a Colony Gamma group. There’s six Lv 53-55 Rhodhil Volffs but they’re little more than the Volffs you’ve been laying the beat down to throughout your adventure. Let the Tank(s) establish aggro first before charging in and you’ll have them down in no time. Zuno will thank the group for their assistance before noting that Kyrie has managed to get herself lost once again.

(1 of 4) You’ll have to deal with Volffs in the first battle

You should head to the next nearest drop from here, located to the southwest. Once you approach the supply drop, Team Zakir will be waiting for you. Their levels range from 53-54, and they will have Agnus Medics with them, these should be your first priority. Once they’re down, you can focus on taking down Mina, who is by far the sturdiest of the group.

This leave just one final supply drop to go and deal with. Make your way over there and it will seemingly be absent of any threat. As soon as you approach the crate though, Foots and his group will jump out and surround you. Foots’s Assault Team’s levels range from 54-55, you’ll want to deal with Ysorra first, as she can deal the most damage to you and is rather squishy herself. Once she falls, deal with Nagumo and then any stragglers that may still be kicking around.

Once you’ve cleared all three supply drops, make your way back towards the rendezvous point and you’ll learn that Kyrie is still missing, prompting concern. After Teach is contacted by an unknown party, he’ll direct you to Rottswoe Battlescar, located a little to the northwest of your current position. After you pass under the remains of a Ferronis, head southwest, making sure you’re prepared as a boss awaits you just beyond!
