Xenoblade Chronicles 3

The Hunter

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page offers a guide on how to start and complete the standard quest, The Hunter in the Pentelas Region in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

How to Start The Hunter Standard Quest

Once you’ve liberated Colony Tau, you’ll be able to gather information from a few different people around the town. You’ll need to gather information from Glory found in a tent in the eastern region of the colony. You’ll then need to discuss ‘Raine’s Departure’ at a rest point (the closest is the Colony Tau Canteen).

(1 of 3) Listen to Glory’s information.

How to Complete The Hunter Standard Quest

After discussing at a rest point, your first task will be to speak to Geum, who can be found near the Colony Tau entrance. He’ll tell you to go out to the beaconstone signal to help Raine. To get to the "Beaconstone" iconBeaconstone signal, you’ll need to take the ziplines to Tree Hollow Opening, then take the zipline east towards the smoke. If you’ve not already been this way, you’ll first have to complete the Imminent Illusion standard quest.

After ziplining over, speak to Raine to trigger a brief cut scene.

Follow the Monster Tracks

Once it’s over, you’ll be tasked with interacting with and following a set of monster tracks and tracking down the monster that Raine was following. The tracks will take you past The Sparkling Pool Rest Point and across the bridge into Tirkin territory. Then, you’ll need to turn left at the end of the bridge and follow the tracks north from the Tirkinhold.

Now you might be getting a bit nervous as you walk north along these large tree roots. You’ll spot some Level 70+ enemies flying up ahead and at this stage in the game you’re probably around half that level. Now if you walk carefully, you shouldn’t necessarily aggro any of them…and you’ll be pleased to hear that the monster you’re tracking is not one of these spooky looking guys!

After getting worryingly close to the big baddies in the sky, you’ll trigger a cut scene in which the gang decides that the monster must have headed into the lower levels and he won’t pose a problem any longer! You can happily return to Colony Tau to check on Raine and you’ve narrowly avoided having to fight something stupidly over levelled - yay!
