This is a guide for the “Melody of Mourning” standard quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding the husks.
Listen in on the conversation by the gate, then return to the canteen and discuss.
Hearing about some husks left abandoned by Singbreeze Funnel, the party set out to try and see them off.
How to Start the Melody of Mourning Standard Quest¶
Progress through the game until you reach Chapter 3 and work your way through the Eagnus Wilderness until you find Colony 4. Help out Ethel in the No Want of Courage Hero Quest, then you’ll gain access to more Standard Quests around Colony 4. In order to unlock the Melody of Mourning Standard Quest, approach the northeast entrance and listen in the conversation by pressing 
to gather the info “Unsent Husks”, then return to the canteen and discuss it to begin the quest.
Where To Find The Singbreeze Funnel Husks¶
After you’ve unlocked the Melody of Mourning Standard Quest, fast travel to the Menno Arch Landmark and follow the path around to the northwest until you reach Reith Valley, then run up the hill to reach Singbreeze Funnel. You’ll see the Soldier Husks at the top of the hill but before you can reach them you’ll need to take out two Antal Ropls.

Make sure your positionals are correct and use buffs to deal more damage to take them down quicker. Finally, approach the husks and press 
to see them off and the quest will come to a close.
