This is a guide for the “A More Balanced Recipe” standard quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to finding Bubblesia.

Head to the Old Way Camp to start this quest.

Dorin is angry at Bambam for giving him Glare Aubergine, which he can’t stand. Show him that it can be a part of a delicious meal.

How to Start the A More Balanced Recipe Standard Quest¶

Progress through the game until you reach Chapter 3 and work your way through the Eagnus Wilderness until you find Colony 4. Help out Ethel in the No Want of Courage Hero Quest, then you’ll gain access to more Standard Quests around Colony 4. Here you’ll need to complete the Dorin And Bambam Standard Quest.

After you’ve completed that quest continue exploring the Fornis Region until you reach the Seilas Terrace Camp which is located to the south of the map to begin Fear of the Unknown. Finally, continue playing through the game until you’ve liberated Colony Lambda, then make your way over to the Old Way Camp and a scene will play out which triggers the A More Balanced Recipe Quest.

Where To Find Bubblesia in Xenoblade Chronicles 3¶

In order for Bambam to make Dorin a delicious meal you’ll need to find 5 Bubblesia’s. These can be found around the Great Cotte Falls, so fast travel over to the Cascade Ferronis Hulk Rest Spot and swim down to the south to find and collect shinies which are sitting above the water to find Bubblesia. After you’ve collected five Bubblesia’s, return to the Old Way Camp.

Here Manana and Bambam will want you to lure in the required ingredient by smearing the tree in Bubblesia Nectar, so head up the stairs and interact with the tree by pressing . After the scene you’ll need to defeat a Sweet Plumbus which is level 37. If you’re around level 35 it should be pretty simple to takedown, but make use of buffs and fusion attacks to deal more damage.

Once the Sweet Plambus has been defeated, Bambam will extract the Fermenting Bug Juices from its corpse, then start cooking up a delicious meal for Dorin. Thankfully, after all that hard work Dorin really likes it and the quest will come to a close.
