Xenoblade Chronicles 3

The Mysterious White Fog

By
Jarrod Garripoli

This is a guide for The Mysterious White Fog Standard Quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

How to Start The Mysterious White Fog Standard Quest

Once you have the Boundary boat and can access the Erythia Sea, the main story will ask you to meet with Kisame at Vinisog Holm, which will start The Castle Beckons quest. You will need to do this part of the main story before The Mysterious White Fog is available. When you are clear, you will be able to find some white fog south of Anu Shoals Camp. Drive straight into the fog to get a piece of Info, then fast travel to the City.

(1 of 3) The first piece of Info will come from entering this white fog

While in the City, go to Serene Square and head east, to the shops. If you look east of there, you should see some stairs going up. Follow these stairs, heading straight north, until you see the Info bubble. Listen in on this conversation and you will get the second piece of Info you need for the White Fog on Erythia Sea Info. Go ahead and discuss it at a rest spot to start the quest.

How to Complete The Mysterious White Fog Standard Quest

The party decides to ask someone about the white fog, who happens to be Kisame. Fast travel to Vinisog Holm and speak with Kisame, who mentions that the fog seems more deadly whenever you make landfall on an island with it. Your party decides to help in the investigation, with the first spot being just west of Thurbin Harbor. Upon arriving at that spot, you will find nothing at all, so you decide to go to another spot, to the southwest.

This second spot will produce something, although it isn’t concrete on what it is. The third, and final, spot will be at Anu Shoals, on actual land this time. Upon arriving at the spot, you find out there’s a number of monsters responsible for the fog and disappearances. This will prompt a battle, with a number of level 48 Misty Medoozes. There’s four of them and due to the battle starting suddenly, things can get a little chaotic. However, concentrate on one at a time and thin the numbers, with the biggest problem probably being the AoE, Toxic Gas. With sufficient healers, though, you should be more than fine and the battle will only get easier.

With all of the monsters gone, report your findings to Kisame to finish the quest.
