Description¶

After your chance meeting with Zhongli, you learn that a Fatuus named Kliment is trying to organize an archaeological expedition. Zhongli is roped in as a consultant, along with an archaeologist named Wanyan who volunteers for the task. Though you distrust the Fatui, you join up at Zhongli’s invitation. The first subject of this investigation is Osial, Overlord of the Vortex.

Steps¶

1. Go to Guyun Stone Forest
2. Use Elemental Sight to search for relics
3. Defeat the enemies and open the chest
4. Continue using Elemental Sight to search for relics
5. Defeat the mimic monsters and recover the relic
6. Meet up with the other group

Go to Guyun Stone Forest¶

Teleport to the Guyun Stone Forest Waypoint then head east a little to trigger a cut scene. Zhongli mentions that due to the war thousands of years ago, that there was bound to be left over relics and that they probably left behind Elemental Marks.

Use Elemental Sight to search for relics¶

Once the scene ends, head to the island to your southeast and use your Elemental Sight to find said marks, continue forward and you’ll see a chest guarded by Hilichurls.

Defeat the enemies and open the chest¶

Use Hydro followed by Electro to make quick work of the smaller enemies and then switch to Pyro and finish the Wooden Shield Mitachurl as it will break through its Shield, once they are defeated, open the chest to receive a Used Training Dummy.

Continue using Elemental Sight to search for relics¶

Go to the southeast corner of the island and use your Elemental Sight to spot a box floating in the sea behind the rock, swim over to it and pick it up to receive a Crude Sack.

Defeat the mimic monsters and recover the relic¶

Cross over to the next island south and you’ll see the mimic monsters, these are the same enemies you’ll fight in the Oceanids boss battle and the same strategy applies here as it does in the boss fight, take them out and you’ll receive a Mysterious Stone Tablet.

The Hydro Mimics are weak to Pyro and Electro.

Meet up with the other group.¶

Head to the west to meet up with Kliment and Wanyan and you’ll get a scene with them bickering, after some more dialogue, the scene will end as will the quest.
