Steps¶
Eleazar Hospital (Dendro Required)¶
Arriving at the Eleazar Hospital.
This part of the quest revolves around going to Eleazar Hospital, located a bit from Aaru Village in the desert. Upon speaking with Shani you learn that screams can be heard coming from the desert at night. After a brief mention of the Eleazar Hospital, the group heads to the location in search of the Village Keepers.
Upon approaching the hospital, you will need to fight two waves of enemies. The first will be made up of Hilichurls and a Mitachurl, while the second wave contains a single Stonehide Lawachurl. Afterward, Alhaitham will use his Dendro vision to unlock the nearby monument and open the Eleazar Hospital. The game will then skip to nighttime, where a basement portion of the building will be revealed.
The basement is sealed off by a barrier, and you must activate three Dendro monuments to break it. They are located on the top of the Eleazar Hospital and down the steps directly to the right and left of the building. You can see the exact locations in the images below.

To unlock each monument, you will need to fight some weaker enemies. Once this is done, simply use a Dendro character to activate the device.
This will bring down the barrier and head inside the hospital. If you are a fan of lore, you will want to check out the indicators on the way to the final room. Once you have found the researcher, you will get clues to where grandpa has been taken.

Before you head back to Aaru Village, grab the key that appears on the floor where the researcher is lying. Head back up the ladder, and interact with the drawer beside the entrance to the basement to get the in-game Before My Time achievement.
After this, head back to Aaru Village and go back to the chief’s house. After some dialogue, you will begin to follow Cyno into the desert. Keep doing so until you find Dehya and move into the third and final act of King Deshret and the Three Magi.
