Just in time for the Pokemon Violet and Scarlet release is Genshin Impact’s version of a beast-taming game. The major difference is that you will be using Fungi instead of trying to go out and find unique creatures. Requirements (Quick Start Available)¶
In order to start this event, you will need to meet the following two requirements.
- Be Adventure Rank 30
- Complete Archon Quest Chapter 3: Act I Through Mists of Smoke and Forests Dark.
You can use quick start to bypass completing the Archon quest.
Event Mechanics¶
In this event, you are going to be split between three different event types. These all revolve around capturing, training, and then battling Fungi against other enemies. The mechanics are simple, and you are walked through every step of the process. Here’s how the event is broken up.
- Fungi Catching
- Jelly Feeding
- Fungi Battles
- Tournament Battles
You will go to marked areas in the Sumeru wilds to catch different types of Fungi. Hitting them with an Electro attacks make them easier to capture but will make them move around a bit faster. After catching them, feed them Jelly to help them grow stronger and learn new moves.
You will also have a Fungi domain available where you can send your team of four out to battle enemies. You can choose from an offensive domain where you slay monsters or a defensive one where you protect a monolith. You will put together a team of four different Fungi. Each Fungi type has different abilities related to its element. For example, the Geo Fungi can easily break through shields.
The final part of the event follows the story and allows you to participate in the tournament, where you will be challenging other Beast Tamers.
