Meet Diluc at the Winery¶

The Dawn Winery can be found southwest of Mondstadt, teleport to the Statue of the Seven waypoint, and head southwest. Once you get outside the Winery, you’ll see Diluc, Jean, and Venti waiting outside it.

Talk to Diluc¶

Go over to Diluc, and talk to him for a scene. He’ll tell you that he managed to get a few clues, and they are in the vicinity of the winery, and you’ll tell the team that you’ll hunt them down.

Defeat the assailants¶

Teleport to the Waypoint northwest of the winery, or follow the path if you don’t have it unlocked yet. When you get to the waypoint, you’ll notice some enemies are here, which consists of, one Hydro Samachurl, one Hydro Abyss Mage, and one Cryo Hilichurl Shooter. Take the shooter out first, as it doesn’t have a lot of health, and it’s cryo arrows will combine with the Hydro from the other enemies to freeze you. Once it’s down, take out the Samachurl next, as it can heal its allies, then the Abyss Mage last. To break the shield of the Abyss Mage, use Cryo on it, and it won’t stay up for long.

With them defeated, you’ll get a scene, and Venti will notice that a stange energy dispersed from the body after it was defeated. It appears that the energy was being used to cut off the connection between him and Dvalin. He’ll tell you that Dvalin took the ancient ruins known to the Mondstadt populace as his lair, which just happens to be sealed by a special barrier. Furthermore, the energy that dispersed from the Abyss Mage allowed him to read the rhythmic flow of the barriers magic, which should be enough to break through it to reach the lair, and that fighting Dvalin could be enough to calm it down. After the scene ends, so will the quest.
