Steps

  1. Meet Jean and Venti at the Cathedral
  2. Find Venti at Windrise

Meet Jean and Venti at the Cathedral

Head to the Cathedral, and enter it. You’ll find Jean, Venti, and Barbara all conversing to each other, at the front, by the altar. Walk up to them, and you’ll get a scene. Jean will introduce you to Barbara, and explain that she’s here to retrieve the Holy Lyre der Himmel. Barbara will thank you for what you’ve done for Mondstadt, and then press you again for the Lyre, as the Seneschal is getting on her back about it. You hand over the now broken, and poorly looked after Lyre, and Barbara lets out a gasp after seeing the state of it, before letting out a wailing scream. She then starts praying to Barbatos for forgiveness, and Venti, and Barbara takes the Lyre, uses some of his power, and fixes it. Barbara is ecstatic with what he’s done, and vows to never let anyone touch it ever again. Venti whispers to you that you all should be going, as the magic he used on the Lyre won’t last for long, Jean, the Traveler, and Paimon are left with their mouths agape before running out of the Cathedral.

Whilst running outside the Cathedral, you’ll be attacked by the Signora, a commander of the Fatui, who freezes Venti in place, she’ll talk to him with disdain, and mock him. You won’t be able to help him, because two Fatui Agents are holding you back, but he won’t need it as he uses his magic to break the icy shackles. As he breaks free, Signora will attack him, leaving Venti to collapse on the ground, stealing his Gnosis. She’ll give him one final kick before leaving, as she has got what she came for, then the Fatui Agent will knock you out before following her. You come to, with Barbara overlooking you, and she’ll tell you that she healed you, and Venti left the Cathedral to go to The Symbol of Mondstadt’s Hero.

Find Venti at Windrise

Teleport to the Windrise Statue of the Seven and head south to find Venti standing by the great tree. Walk over, and interact with him for another scene. He’ll tell you about Visions, and how only a small amount of people possess them, and that all those people can aspire to become Gods, and ascend to Celestia, he calls these people allogenes. Furthemore he tells you that only the Archons are privy to this knowledge, and they don’t need visions, as they are directly linked to Celestia via their Gnosis, which is what Signora took from him.

He’ll tell you that Signora is one of the harbingers, No. 8 to be specific, and they have been given god-like executive authority by the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya, and with that, the strength surpassing normal mortals. Furthermore, the Tsaritsa is another one of the Seven Archons, which is who the harbingers answer to. He’ll go on in a bit more detail about the Snezhnaya God, and tell you about the catastrophe 500 years ago, then he’ll tell you that he’ll save the discussion about the Cryo god, and the Fatui for another day. Finally, he will tell you to head to Liyue, and speak to the Geo God, who administrates the entire region personally, unlike him. Apparently he, only appears once a year, at the Rite of Descension, which just happens to be coming up. If you miss it now, you’ll have to wait another whole year for the chance again. After he’s finished talking, you can ask him some question before leaving to Liyue. When you’re done with that, the quest, chapter, and act will finish.
